Spoon Set

Bought as I never had enough wooden spoons in the kitchen. For me these are the ideal size, medium and short handles. Good buy!

I bought a set of new pots. So I needed these as not scratch them. Great buy cheap.!

Let's face it - there's only so excited you can get about a set of wooden spoons (unless you're particularly excitable or mentally unhinged) so my guess is that unless you fit onto one of those categories there are three things you'll want to know about these. Firstly, are they good quality? The answer to that is sort of, in a mass-produced kind of way. They're not particularly smooth and it seems apparent that they've been made using a machine with very little finishing afterwards. I'm also not sure how much of a wax coating they have as they feel a bit rough to the touch and one use in a pot of Bolognese turned one of mine bright orange - I had to wash it a few times before it lost this colouration. The coating may be there, but if it is then it's minimal. Secondly, how nice are they to use? Well, they fit okay in the hand but they aren't very long but that shouldn't be too much of a problem for most folks; however I can't see the shortest one getting much use in my kitchen. I would have preferred to get three equally-sized (large) spoons instead of three of differing sizes. Thirdly, do they work well? A spoon doesn't have the most difficult job in the world - it's not rocket science after all - and these do that job well enough, although they do have an aggressive curve on them so aren't as good for getting into the corners of pans as flatter-headed spoons. All of the above considered, these are worth buying as long as you don't need spoons that will be on display as they don't look that great and they will get stained with use. Then again, I suppose that the same could be said of most wooden spoons. I'd also suggest that you have one or two flat-head spoons or spatulas on hand for getting into the corners of pots and pans as these have some difficulty in that regard.

Husband has realised what the kitchen is for. Doesn’t seem to be able to wash up when cooking so bought him these. Perfect.

I like how there is a good variety of wooden spoons and the price is very reasonable. I would not purchase again however due to finding the edges of the spoons quite rough in places. I do a lot of home cooking and baking so I try to buy things that I can use over again. They do seem quite sturdy so it is a shame the finish wasn't better on the spoons I purchased.

I bought the set of three wooden spoons. When they arrive they do have feathering, definitely not smooth, but after a period of use (I've had them a few months) they do smooth off as I expected although at first they'll catch fibres off sponge scourers, for example. I have ADHD and forget about things, and these pick up colours if left in the washing up bowl or a soaking pan for a long time, but that's more down to the ADHD than the product. They also pick up colours from things like tumeric if you're making a curry, or paprika, etc, but this is expected and doesn't impart any flavour to subsequent dishes that I can detect (I use one to make a lemon-flavoured sponge cake a few days after making a curry with it, no issues). Overall these do the job, I've had no problems with them, you just need to cope with the unfinished nature of the wood at first, which I personally don't consider a problem.

Three different spoons, all wooden. I buy the cheaper packs as I put them through the dishwasher. However, this does make them warp. There are three different sizes. They lightweight, I use them all the time while cooking. Buy these again when needed

Spoons bend and become miscolored rather quick. Would recommend only hand wash for these.
