Best £5 I've spent on my cat
My cat is a moggy that I adopted as a kitten a year and a half ago. Last spring and summer she was shedding a lot, and although I tried using a flea comb (as recommended by the vet) to thin out her fur a bit there was still cat hair EVERYWHERE. Daily brushing/combing didn't seem to significantly cut down on the amount of cat hair on my clothes, furniture, bedding, up my nose - literally everywhere. This year she's fully grown and started shedding already in March. Despite returning to daily combing, she got her first hairball a week ago and I knew something had to be done. After a bit of research I realised that she's likely a good part British Shorthair since her fur is extremely dense (though obviously short). None of my cat-owning friends had ever seen a short-haired cat that sheds as much as this adorable little furball does. I was suspicious of the Furminator, which is expensive and seems to be less well tolerated by kitties, and I didn't think my cat would go for it in any case since she can be pretty fussy about being groomed. The softer rubber of the Zoom Groom appealed to me - as did the price tag. Well I got it three days ago and it's been amazing. I've removed more hair with it in one session (as another reviewer on here says, about two golf ball sized clumps every time I use it) than I ever did with the flea comb. I mostly use it running back and forth along her spine and sides, as the circular motion seems to make her less happy. I find it's helpful to be slower and more gentle when brushing the hair against the growth (from tail to head, for example). It's a good size and weight in the hand, and it's easy to vary the amount of pressure you're using if your cat is like mine and sometimes wants a good heavy brushing and other times will flinch at anything but the lightest touch. Other reviewers have mentioned that the fur doesn't all stick to the Zoom Groom itself and some of it flies about a bit - that's true. I think the best way to go about this is to brush your cat on a flat surface like a desk, table or bed. While you're brushing the cat, stop every few strokes to remove the fur from the Zoom Groom's teeth. Once your cat has been brushed (or has run away when she's had enough!), run the Zoom Groom lightly over the table or bed to pick up the loose hairs. This also works on your clothes and gets a good 75-80% of the fur off. Follow that up with a lint roller (for clothes and/or bed) or a duster (for a desk or table) and you'll find you've virtually eliminated the excess fur. In sum: I love this thing and wish I had bought it last year! Grooming really is important to your cat's health, and your own during shedding season, so if you're on the fence don't hesitate on this one.

Best Invention EVER....
I just have to leave a review for this amazing product. I have a female Persian X Cat who is around 10yrs old that has never enjoyed or really allowed us to comb or brush her. Therefore costly trips to the groomers have always been a twice yearly event to ensure her gorgeous long coat is kept from clumping and becoming extremely uncomfortable. However, after a recent visit to our vet, a nurse asked if we'd tried the Zoom Groom on her? We casually said No and that we had bought and tried every brush/comb but she wasn't having any of it. The nurse really went on about this fab new thing, which led us to have a look and then purchase one from Amazon. We are still in shock as to how AMAZING this very simple product is. Firstly, our cat does not move away at all, in fact she purrs and nudges for more, it also removes lots of her old coat / loose hair without dragging at all so she LOVES IT and so do we! Cannot recommend it highly enough....Brilliant

Very Good Brush
Very happy with purchase mainly due to the quality of the product. Brush relax's cat and is able to remove fur quickly and without pain. Fur gets caught in between rubber cones (best way to describe them) so not too much fur fall onto the ground. The bristles (cones) are thick enough to brush matts out of the cats coat, but soft enough to not pull and hurt her. I was slightly surprised at how big the brush is and it can sometimes be a difficult shape to hold when brushing. Nevertheless, the material helps this matter as it is non-slip. Brush is very easy to keep clean which is a bonus. Design is nice. Really cant praise the quality enough. Delivery was quick and price paid is reasonable. Would have given it 5/5, just a few little issues (quite big and shape a bit tricky). Would recommend to all cat owners.

The best ever brush I have used on my cat
My cat loves having a groom now. The zoom groom is easy to use and really helps the cat to shed his coat. Good value for money.

Great product for rabbits!
I don't have cats but I do have two very hairy rabbits who moult frequently. With such very fine hair and very, very sensitive skin, other products can be harsh but Zoom Grooms are great! They are soft enough not to hurt the delicate skin but the prongs hang on to the loose fur and help grab it out of the coat into the Zoom Groom rather than all over my carpet and other furniture (and clothes!) Because rabbits constantly self- and alo-groom they natually ingest large amounts of fur which is completely natural but it can cause problems at the time of moulting so this product is also very helpful in maintaining a healthy and motile digestive tract

Simple and effective
I had been considering a Furminator, but having read some reviews that suggested it might cut or pull at the hair (accompanied with pictures of cats with bald patches after their over-eager humans went a bit too far) I decided to play it safe - and cheaper - and get the Zoom Groom instead. First impressions: it's a bit uninspiring to look at. A series of rubber cones attached to a twee rubber cat. Hardly an impressive feat of modern engineering, but I'm prepared to be wowed nonetheless. First use: Well there's that 'wow'. My cat has never been one for being brushed. Now he's 13 he'll tolerate it with a standard bristle brush, but it doesn't seem to bring much fur off, and can be a bit unwieldy. He seems quite content with this though, and even started purring up a storm while I was doing it. And the fur! The fur! Just a couple of swipes along his back and sides and so much fur is appearing. The downside is that it doesn't all collect on the tool itself; most of it just pools on the cat, but that's easy enough to deal with. Quite a bit flurries off into the air as well... so be prepared for a bit of a fur storm. Removing the hair that does collect on the 'brush' is very easy - far easier than it ever was with a bristle brush. Cleaning it under the tap afterwards is simple and quick. He's not as keen on it being used on his head - it's a bit too knobbly - so I'll keep the bristle brush for that as it's more gentle and soothing. Bonus use: It seems to work absolute wonders at scraping fur off soft furnishings. I've had to throw blankets and towels away in the past because of the difficulty in removing fur from them. I've just tried the Zoom Groom on a fleecy blanket the cat has been sleeping on lately, and the fur just came right off. Even vacuuming this blanket doesn't get the fur off usually because it gets trapped in the fleecy fibres. Conclusion: So cheap, so effective, bonus uses... I like it so much I wrote a review for it - I never write reviews on here.

Cat likes it. Me, not so much.
I bought this on a recommendation from a friend. Like her own Maine Coon, mine hates being groomed - currently with one of the self-cleaning ball-tip brushes. “Zoom Groom”, I was assured, “They love it, it’s like giving them a massage.” I ordered it day before yesterday, and it arrived today. Nothing to complain about, there. Had it not been such a long day, I might have saved the (undamaged) packaging, before going to use it. But, alas, I didn’t. Too late now! And so it was that, after less than 30 seconds of brushing with it - which she seemed to enjoy - I went to clear the built up fur, and realised that one of the teeth has almost entirely detached, most of the way around the base. And it’s the opposite facing to the direction in which I was brushing, so it wasn’t anything untoward, in her fur! Instead - and as someone who has worked with silicon moulds, and silicon of differing strengths - it either looks like the shear strength of the silicon is off, or else it was somehow mixed incorrectly, as the thickness of the silicon, at the bottom edge of the “tooth”, seems thin, or not connected properly to the silicon base, beneath (see photos). Whatever the issue has been, it’s not what I would expect from a brand new item, and a Kong branded item, at that - seeing as how they tout their items’ strength so very much! Had it not been for the fact that she sat for the (short) time I was grooming her, without complaint - something that doesn’t happens with the brush - this would be in the bin by now, brushed off (no pun) as a cheaply made gimmick. As it is, I’ll alternate it with the brush - I had hoped to bin, altogether, but no fear of that happening, now! Second item in a row from Amazon, lately, that hasn’t lived up at all well to the mega star reviews. As she likes it, I’ll give it three stars from the cat, and a distinct “meh” from me. Unimpressed.

Such a wonderful product
My cat is 12 years old and this is my 4th Zoom Groom as the others wore out with such enormous use. My cat goes wild for it and "asks" often to be groomed by mewing and jumping up onto the picnic bench where the brush lives. It pulls out enormous quantities of hair particularly when he's moulting which must feel lovely to him as I imagine it must be itchy. He loves being groomed all over - head, ears, legs, tummy, chin and of course his back. The birds round here must have fabulously soft nests all lined with his fur! (He is only a short haired cat too). After a grooming and several emptyings of the brush the loose hairs that are left on him I just wipe off with my hand, no prob. I should add that this is definitely a job to be done outside. My cat is extremely grateful to whoever invented this wonderful grooming tool!

Beware!
Beware! These groom well, but my little poodle puppy was teething on it and foolishly I thought it would be good for her teething, being Kong. She managed to break it up and swallow pieces. It gave her nasty diarrhoea. (Purple pieces confirmed the cause.) Just so you know 😑

Amazing massage cum grooming brush!!!
Super quick delivery from Amazon! Thought the brush was a bit soiled I gave it a wash before using on my 3 month old Persians. They just absolutely love it!!! And it did pull out quite some hair. It warmed my heart to see them enjoy being brushed for the first time ever! No doubt this Kong product is a must have. Planning to use it on my cocker spaniel too.

Short hair Bengal cat likes it alot!
Bought this for our Bengal cat that has short hair and it works beautifully, didn't expect to get as much hair as we did. He really seems to like it! When he's relaxed he'll roll over when we start to grrom him with it, it's very cute! Washes super easy, just rinse under water and it's all clean. Very happy with this purchase!
