Snap to it and buy something else! - this is just a farce.
This product is mad and shouldn't be on the market for a multitude of reasons:- 1) Late appearance of the LE App i.e. way after the product was on sale, 2) Non existence of support either on-line or by phone, 3) Set up is ridiculous and the wi-fi set up and the instructions are crazy and non responsive, 4) The instructions are described as "Quick Start Guide " but I defy anyone to find the FULL instructions on-line within iOn's support page, the Quick Start Guide were written by a child which is why no one can connect - you have to use Bluetooth as well after initially using wi-fi, 5) my original instructions showed no wi-fi set up code - I had to find it on-line as '0123456789', 6) Battery life is 50 minutes on continuous video NOT up to 3 hours as advertised. I only wanted this product as a forward facing video camera for my bike handle bars but after purchase I left it still packaged for 3 months over winter (partly because the LE App didn't appear in Apple's App Store) before I opened it and then found all of its shortcomings! So too late to return it, therefore, persevered to find a workaround, firstly, had to forget the wi-fi aspect, then, purchased a battery backup power pack and now ride with it plugged in permanently. Purchased a Goliton Digital Camera bracket to fit the supplied tripod clip to the bike. The HD results are good and I can see very clearly ALL details recorded ahead of me which (as intended) will be useful for any cyclist after an incident! I have been running this on my bike for about 6 weeks and it does the job intended albeit plugged into a power pack (without that it would be totally useless). The cost I paid compared with the increased price I now see this on sale for is simply unjustifiable! - I have posted one review before that deserved ZERO stars and so this is another one! - the maker should withdraw the LE Special Edition and resolve all the issues in 1-6 above before attempting to re-market. I did try to find within Amazon small print where I could return a product (3 months after purchase) that is sold with blatantly wrong advertising claims (battery life) BUT can't find it so gave up and found my own solution. By the way you can plug the SnapCam into a PC USB and watch, save or delete footage - which is fine for my humble needs! Via a USB slot you can change all of the settings as well. PS To the chap from iOn Support who responds to this type of negative comment - please just sort it out and please don't leave a reply that implies you actually care yet in reality you do absolutely nothing!!!! PPS It has since died of natual causes!! - believe me it really is pure rubbish!!!

Terrible battery life
Good quality video. Easy setup. Battery terrible. When i bought it they advertised 2hrs on battery. But i did get less then 30 minutes. Support said we are working on new firmware with better battery. Now they advertise 3 hours on there site. But mine still has no update and gives blinking low battery after 5 minutes. Support ION support doesn't respond on my email requesting update on my issues

Decent but Pricey
Found this okay. Fun for shooting pics on the go. App was not compatible with my Samsung Galaxy Mini III phone so had to connect to PC to view pics. Instructions were not too clear but got there in the end. Bit pricey for what it is though it is a decent piece of kit..

great photo and video quality from very neat small piece of kit
This is a real struggle to get out of the box, it really is quite difficult. I felt like I wanted to smash it to pieces. Once out, its a really nice little piece of kit. as the illustration (possible) shows, it is a little bigger than a UK fifty pence piece. Easily charged up via the USB port of your computer. Mechanics of this are very easy. First of all you will need a micro SD card, which is not supplied. It would be better if it was. So first get a micro sd card. Operation is very simple. A tap on the power/mode button will switch it on and further taps will cycle it through the various modes Still/single then time lapse and then video normal. Each change of mode is confirmed by a double beep. In still single mode each press of the shutter button will take a picture. You can set still burst and vidoe loop from a downloadable app. You know which mode you are in because the mode button glows a different colour for each mode, Bluetooth and wifi are available on the app to connect the camera to the pc. This works with a smartphone but you need to check if it will work with android stuff. Quality is fantastic for such a small piece of kit, very wearable or could be set up in home or car.

Frustrating set up, loses connection and would benefit from a viewfinder
Firstly the idea behind this little camera is brilliant, to be able to take photos of your day and then review them on your p.c or tablet or even your phone is great for special days where you want some candid shots. So I was very excited for this to arrive. On arrival the camera looked good, it was well packaged and had everything that I would need to clip it on to my person or set up on a tripod - everything except a memory card ( this is pretty standard with most tech today though and I already had one at home that I could use). unfortunately setting up was not easy, it appears that in my instance a crucial part of the instructions was missing. Pleasingly the company read my first review and contacted me to help sort this out ( I have altered my review as this was a problem specific to me .) Now that the camera is set up it is quite fun, however the pictures do not like low light and you need to use your phone as your view finder (you could argue why not just take the photo with your phone in the first place). I am not a fan of "selfies" but found the camera good for recording my walk, clip it on, choose the gap between shots and off you go. The battery life is good. It is sturdily built The video was a little jerky, but if you are recording from your person rather than a stable, still position, like a tripod this is to be expected. So to recap- The good ++++++++ looks great, good build quality, great size. Clip and cable provided. :::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::: The bad +++++++ No way of seeing what you are shooting/recording on the camera. Website offers limited advice/help Loses connection regularly, hard to reconnect even at home, "on the go " "out in the field "as it were -forget it! Update..... This is very very frustrating. I used it a couple of times and got a few good shots, then left it a week and went back to find it simply would not connect. It was invisible to Bluetooth devices searching for it. Wifi was not working at all. The app offered no help, when I tried to get things reconnected via this I got stuck in a loop of the app telling me to activate the camera, the camera could not be seen, was the camera on, was it close to the iPad I was using( it was less than 5cm away) choose a way of connecting the camera -then the app crashed. This happened 7 times on the bounce and I had to walk away before I sent it flying through the air in frustration! In conclusion. I really wouldn't bother, if you want a shot of something when you are out use the smart phone that you would need to use as the camera viewfinder instead, (you will already have to have your phone out to use the app) if you don't use your phone to do this you will have lots of shots of headless people, shoes, the floor etc because there is no viewfinder and so no way of seeing what the camera sees...so why add the step of adding the snap cam, just use your smart phone, some phone photo apps even offer the time lapse photo shots and video. Also one weird thing, the camera was not in use, was just on the table when it beeped, it had switched itself on without any input from us, a little worrying if someone else had managed to do this and was now able to view my home from this camera lens without me knowing.

Useless
Well..this is a first. A totally useless item. This is a nightmare to set up. We spent hours over a few days trying to set this up, and it just will not connect to wi-fi on the camera (necessary to make it work and view photos). We've been through the instructions thoroughly and no matter what we do we cannot get this to work. I cannot recommend this product at all. This was sent to me free of charge for an honest review. If I had paid for this, I would have sent it back. (If anyone knows how to connect this camera to the Snap Cam internet, I'd be very pleased to hear how!)

Nice.
