This device is very simple to use. Follow the on screen prompts and just start talking. I'm married to a Brazilian woman who speaks Portuguese only. This device out of the box has completely changed our ability to communicate and so far it hasn't missed a translation yet. No having to go through word reconnecting or trial and Era just start taking to each other. What a great piece of equipment. We've tried several different types of devices with no success. The V4 worked immediately out of the box were both very happy. I would recommend this to anyone needing a excellent translation tool. Yes it's not cheap but things that actually preform as needed usually aren't!!

I’ve used translation apps and having. Standalone device was a game changer. For the price I wish they would upgrade the chip so it would be instantaneous, but it was still plenty fast once it was working. I used it in numerous places and having someone speak directly into the device and not having to worry about handing an iPhone pro max back and forth in a developing nation alone is worth the purchase. It can translate long passages, and made it easy to hold conversations back responding to whole conversations. 3.8 stars is prolly fair, I’m giving it 4. *you need to restart it daily. Also did not use offline mode, once I was in a building without connection and I could not use it.

THESE ARE THE MOST TERRIBLE SOUNDING TRANSLATORS THAT I HAVE EVER HEARD. I HAVE HAD THESE FOR A WHILE NOW BUT I FORGOT UNTIL NOW, WHEN WRITING A FEW REVIEWS FOR PURCHASES I HAVE MADE ON AMAZON, THAT I STILL HAVE THESE AND THAT I NWVER COMPLAINED BEFORE THIS. I AM ACTUALLY QUITE AMAZED AND SHOCKED AND NOW REALLY CONFUSED AT THE MONENT AS I BUY SO MUCH FROM AMAZON AND I JUST CANNOT BELIEVE THAT AMAZON WOULD SELL ANYTHING LIKE THIS. AS I MENTIONED, I PURCHASED THESE A WHILE BACK AND I WILL ADMIT THAT MAKING A COMPLAINT THIS LATE IS MY OWN FAULT. UT AS I WILL DESCRIBE, THESE TRANSLATORS MADE ME SO SICK THAT I SIMPLY PUT THEM BACK IN THE BOX AND PUT THEM IN A CLOSET AND FORGOT ABOUT THEM. SO SORRY. Wonderful device. Perhaps not real intuitive but proved very useful in both Germany and Vietnam Translating both speech and text. So nice to be able to read signs, menus,etc. Battery life is good and the size is very convenient. If only it could translate a thick Appalachian accent.

Not as advertised, works sometimes, very unreliable, just a very High Price, doesn’t worth it.

This is a "frequently returned item" for a reason. When I bought mine, I was under the impression that the translator did not *require* wifi and cellular to work property. It needed one or the other, and in times where there was no connection, the device would just work with the dictionaries previously downloaded. This is not the case. The device is connected to wifi an cellular at *all* times, even when they are not in use. So, upon hiking into remote areas where there is no wifi or cellular service, we found the translator does NOT work *at all* nor will it rely on itself even for basic translations. What started off as an exciting adventure ended up with 2 groups of people who didn't understand each other in the middle of the jungle. This was a very disappointing purchase... especially for the price. None of us cares about "AI" and company leaders' dependence on it in trying to cut corners. We all care about whether something works well or not, and this item only works as long as there are wifi and cellular connections... whether you want it to or not.

Translates excellent and easy setup. Worth the money. But others have told me an app on smartphone is the same. I need a separate device for business purposes

I like the size and style of the translator fits into your hand well and seems to hold good battery charge well the photo translator part is very handy and accurate and a good helper. the translator is fast and sometimes struggles to keep up and you think it did not capture your sentences, but it completes it ok over all ill rate this 95% translator Dislikes price is a bit high for this item. Using Swahili not quite accurate as i guess it's spoken in so many dialects but was understood enough at times some having to ask again to confirm on their answer the translator to text you must keep hold of the button so you get the full conversation otherwise it will stop and finish, if they pause to long between sentences annoying.

A very recommended device for those who really do need to perform great work in school studies or in school projects if they’re linguistically skilled and want to find right words and to find the adequate synonyms in order to find the correct words for the perfect sentences.

Absolutely brilliant. I almost cancelled delivery as I was not sure whether it will be delivered in time for father’s birthday but they expedited it after I emailed customer support and it arrived exactly on time! The translator itself is first class

Nous aimons voyager et la langue nous retient énormément pour beaucoup de pays. Nous venons de le recevoir et l'avons testé de suite avec des gens qui parlent une autre langue et nous l'avons essayé aussi pour traduire des écrits. Impeccable et rien à dire, nous le testons définitivement fin du mois car nous allons au mexique. Je pense que cela va nous soulager la vie. Merci Vasco
