In which country are these produced?

They are biodegradable to save tge environment. They won't end up in landfills or the oceans. They save sea turtles and other animals. Who cares where they are made. Pick your battles.

They will break if someone wants to. But they hold up well in a drink. My kids haven't totally ruined one to the point they need another yet. They don't fold like the grass straws I have seen recently.

Are these at home compostable?

I've been trying a few, but don't have a definitive result yet. no reason they shouldn't be, though.
