The best BT trackers on the market with some small issues
I think Lapa 2 are the best Bluetooth trackers available on the market right now, but it does not mean it is flawless. I use it to track my keys, wallet, handbag & backpack with my guns. It was also nice to track my daughter in the mall (Lapa in her handbag) or the luggage while traveling abroad, especially once it was transferred by bus in the luggage compartment in some wild country ;-) What I like: - well designed smartphone app - Safety Mode where your Lapas are constantly tracked and you are notified once you leave it somewhere - Silent Spots mode when it won't notify you about leaving your Lapas if your smartphone is connected to selected WiFis (like at home) - you can press the button on any of your Lapas to make your smartphone ring (in case you lost it somewhere) - you can share your Lapas with other uses, like your wife, so she can also track it ;-) - you can check the last location of your Lapas on the map - you can use the proximity radar if you want to find your lost tracker, I already used it to find my daughter when I lost her for a moment in the mall - shock resistance & waterproof (quite important if you want to attach it to your keys) - quite long range (around 50m in open space), but it is also a drawback - please see below - replaceable battery - compact size - reasonable price, especially in 3-pack What I don't like: - in some circumstances (like open space) it takes some time for Safety Mode to trigger an alarm, because of the quite long supported range. I did some tests at the beach, laying down and sleeping on the beach chair with my phone in the pocket, my wife took my backpack and once Lapa app noticed it is gone I would not be able to catch up the thief as she was too far away; I know that previous version of Lapa had an option to set up a range for Safety mode, it is a pity it has been removed, but I read it was not too reliable - sometimes if I want to connect to one of my Lapas, the phone informs me about detecting the signal , but it can't connect to it - I have to disable the Bluetooth on my phone and then enable it again to make it working. Fortunately it happens very seldom - sometimes it keeps showing me 'Keep moving' message while I'm just next to my Lapa tracker and it can take few minutes before it detects it, fortunately it happens very seldom - sometimes the Safety Mode kicks in with delay, but it is not related to the range. It looks like the Lapa app hangs or something like that. So for example I have 3 Lapas tracked, all are in the same location. I lost connectivity with all of them at the same time, but I'm informed only about two of them being lost. The third one is communicated after a minute later or so. - the notification about leaving the Lapa is appearing quite fast in your notification panel, but sometimes the alarm ringtone is played with quite significant delay - you can't set up your own ringtone for the Safety Mode alarm and the built in is not audible in some circumstances; especially it would be good to have the possibility to set some longer ringtones - only 3 Lapas can be tracked via Safety Mode - from time to time notification/toasts pop up in the bottom of the screen informing the user of detecting the Lapa locator. While it happens the screen is unresponsive for a moment until it disappears. Can be quite annoying in case you have more than 3 Lapas - if I make or answer the phone call via my car bluetooth system while I'm loggied in the Lapa app, the BT connection gets disconnected after some time. To make it working I have to sign out from Lapa app before making/answering such a call and then log in again after I'm done - very annoying, confirmed on two separate smartphones - sometimes if the Lapa tracker is stored in your bag it might be hard to hear the alarm ringtone (it is not loud) - the proximity radar is not too reliable - you can keep your Lapa and phone at the same distance, but it will keep fluctuating from near to far - support is not too responsive, they still did not answer my email I sent exactly one month ago and even if they reply their answers are very generic like they send the same answer to every customer (you can be sure they will suggest to remove your BT cache in case of any problems) - sometimes the Lapa app shows me I'm in silent spot although I'm out and not connected to any WiFi - there is no way to check battery status What I would really love to see: - Tasker and IFFTTT integration with possibility to: * enable/disable Safety Mode for selected Lapas * enable/disable Silent Spots for specific WiFis * set specific ringtones for Safety Mode alarm per Lapa tracker - possibility to set up your own ringtones for Safety Mode alarm - possibility to track more than 3 Lapas Despite it's drawbacks I still think these are the best BT trackers on the market. I really enjoy using it, so still 5 stars from me with huge confidence they will really do everything to sort out all the issues.

Good alternative to tile
Got these to replace some tiles which I was getting frustrated at having to replace annually These have a user replaceable battery and generally work well. The app is not as polished as tile but so far have found my keys when needed! I would still rank the tile as #1 in this area but these are a good alternative at a much reduced price

I like this product
I like this product, for the price i must say i expected a bit more. You can definitely hear the tracker when you ring it, it's loud enough but under a pillow it become quite faint. The tracking works but seems like it makes finding your key more of a game than ease. I must say to use this tracker swiftly you need to have a good idea of where you might have lost your key. And it also takes quite a while to connect to your phone. But i think it is alright, not sure if i would purchase it again. Feel free to leave any questions.

Sadly , this device is unlikely to prevent you leaving something behind.
I read as many tech reviews and purchaser reviews to make an informed decision, but this item does NOT live up to the hype. I bought it specifically to alert me if I left behind small but valuable equipment , the sales pitch says the 'Safety Mode' prevents loss by this means. Well, very much like a previous Amazon reviewer I found:- 1). I could not consistently get ANY audible alert from the device when I left it behind. 2). The audible alert , when it did operate (checked all the settings in the app & on the phone) was so QUIET I could not hear it on the phone if the phone was in my pocket. 3) The audible alert consisted of about a one / two second set of Quiet tones. It was too short to be of any value and it DID NOT REPEAT if ignored. 4) All attempts to give feedback on the App , through the App feedback mechanism failed. 5). Much of the info on the app is just sale pitch , not of any use to users. Sadly my conclusion is that the device is of no value to me in respect of the prime reason for my purchasing it. In writing the this review I appreciate that there is no sense in keeping it , and so I will return it to Amazon.

Works for finding objects and phone, not for preventing theft
The device works and beeps if triggered from the phone, and the phone rings if triggered from the device. But the Safe Mode does not work: I walked 40 yards away from the device several times and the phone still did not ring, even though one of the times it notified "bag left behind" on the screen. So it's an interesting gadget but not meant for critical applications. I contacted the company and asked for an improvement in the safety mode. The range of the bluetooth device is 60m out in the open field. I would like . The app does detect the proximity of the device, e.g. "in range" or "almost there." So I asked for the ability to set a threshold for an alert if the device moves further than 5m, for example, and then beep the device up to 60m apart in the open field. This would be quite useful to prevent theft if the safety mode warns immediately when the device is further than 5m from the phone. The answer was: "That situation was studied and implemented in the past and it didn't work well, so they took it out. It will be studied again with Bluetooth 5.1 but it's not for now. In a short period of time we won't be able to offer you that option."
