If "not too bad" then imagine it should be okay to paint a couple of courses up the wall, but I`d definitely leave everything to dry out before plastering.. It is easy to use once the hole is drilled which is hard going DIY in a stone wall I worked on. A mortar joint in a brick wall would be easier. In a thick rubble stone wall you will need much more than you think due to voids in the rubble heart.
