Dog really enjoys this

Most indestructible toys are not at all where a 8 months old puppy is concerned lasting less than five minutes. This tyre is the exception. Absolutely solid and lasting. Worth the expense

My dog is a shih tzu staffy cross, he has the cuteness of the shih tzu and the jaw of the staffy and he destroys his toys in no time if they aren’t strong enough. There aren’t many toys we’ve found which are suitable but this kong black tyre is brilliant! It doesn’t last forever with him but it lasts a good 3 - 4 months and then we just buy him another one when he starts to get chunks out of it. He absolutely loves it. We throw it for him, he plays tug with it and he chews it for ages with no damage. We also put gravy bones in it for him. Fab product. Highly recommended for power chewers.

This Kong toy is clearly not one of the most exciting dog toys available. It does not have any squeaker or moving part, it is exactly how it looks. But it is certainly durable, which is key for dog owners with aggressive chewers. Appearance The toy looks as it does in the product photos, it is a tyre shape with some elements including the Kong logo and tyre-inspired details. It has a central hole and a channel, much like a tyre, through the middle. Play The toy can roll along on its side for an improvised game of fetch. Otherwise, my dog likes to hold and chew on it. The inner channel offers a place to chew at, but the lack of parts means there is not too much leverage for the dog to take off pieces (see durability below), which is a plus! Treat dispensing You can stuff some food in the channel but there is nothing special about it as a treat dispenser. It seems to lend itself best to smearing a treat, like peanut butter, inside. Durability If you are looking at the Kong extreme toys your dog, like mine, is probably an aggressive chewer. That is why I give this toy four stars overall. It has lasted 6 monts and while there are clear scratch and teeth marks my labradoodle has not pulled off much of the rubber at all. The rubber is very tough and withstands repetitive chewing. A few small pieces have come off but generally it's proved reassuringly resilient. Conclusion It's not the most inspsiring toy but you can engage a dog with it and they may spent some down time chewing on it. The best thing it that it's resilient and that provides reassurance that they are unlikely to hurt themselves.

My 1 year old cavapoo has been refusing his meals from a bowl, so I transfered part of it to the Kong tyre and froze it. He then ate it, so I'm happy.

I've spent a ridiculous amount of money on dog toys, the vast majority of which are chewed through immediately by my pup and have to go in the bin usually in the same day. Having spent hours researching toys that would last, I tried this one. Yes, it's small (if I hadn't read previous reviews I think I too would have been a bit disappointed by how small it is). But it's not too small for my medium sized dog. A few weeks in and there's not so much as a dent in the rubber after being chewed each day. My dog's happy to play with it with or without treats in, and it seems to be withstanding so far. Kong is the only brand toys that have survived his chewing so far (he has two of the classic style ones, and a bone shaped one also which have all made it 6 months so far).

Unfortunately it wasn’t strong enough for my 10 month old lab. She immediately chewed pieces off after a few minutes.

My Jack Russell Terrier loves this toy! She tosses it about and loves the clicking sound it makes when she chews on it. Don't know if it meant to click, it might be as a result of her constant chewing, but it has withstood some rough treatment!

Los juguetes de Kong son los únicos que mis perros (dos pastores) no destrozan. Estos con forma de neumático les encantan, pueden morderlos todo lo que quieran y además ruedan. Esta forma les gusta más que la de hueso o el original de la marca, creo que por el agujero central. He de decir que los huesos sí que fueron capaces de romperlos, pero no eran extreme sino los rojos normales. El tamaño para mí es bueno, aunque en el límite: un poco más pequeños ya no habrían estado tan bien. Yo cuando quiero tenerlos entretenidos un rato relleno la parte interna del juguete con algo que puedan chupar (tiene que ser con consistencia pastosa para que no se salga, no como en los otros modelos que sirven recompensas duras) y los vuelve locos.

Me encanta! No es tan rígido como otros juguetes de Kong así que a mi perro le llamó más la atención ya que su pasión son los peluches y este tipo de juguetes no le gustan mucho. Necesitaba algo así porque mi perro se come TODO y le hace daño, con este juguete estoy tranquila. No llevo mucho con el pero sigue intacto y ya puedo ver que me durará mucho tiempo!

My 10 month old dobby is very destructive when left alone at home. Kong tire keeps him occupied. Though price is on the higher side, consider it a one time buy instead of going through many toys n spending more.
