Question 1

Are these fast absorbing? My pup always steps into his urine as he walks away - leaving paw prints to mop. Do these pads minimize that?

Because I have 3 tiny Chihuahuas these pads are fantastic!  I've found that mine are very fast absorbing and my little one's don't end up "tracking." So for your little man I think these pads will work great for you! As the pads get older 5-6 months they won't absorb as quickly but because the pads are quite large depending on the size of your pup chances are He won't step in his urine anyway. As for the dryer comment from the lovely Patricia, I haven't experienced what she has or had any problems with the "urine smell in the dryer." I always add the suggested amount of bleach for washing and my pads come out smelling fresh and really great because I use Gain as my detergent. Just be careful and make sure you only dry on medium heat setting. Drip drying work's just as well though. Putting them in the dryer does make them work a little bit better then when I've drip dried them.Either way, these are a fabulous item, work perfectly and are a major $ saver. I own 3 of the large pads for 3 month's  and have saved over $500 on the toss away one's.

Question 2

After puppy pees on these pads, do they have an odor to them? Does it smell like pee??

Surprisingly it does not have a strong odor. These pads have a design so that sometimes I wouldn't even know they have peed on them. If you get down and smell you'll know!

Question 3

Hate to sound stupid but no one has addressed anything except urine, obviously dogs poop; Do I just pickup flush and continue with pad?

Yes.  Pick up as soon as you see it as it will smell, unlike urine which is absorbed into pad.

what fabric is this made from?

I don't know the exact fiber content, but the top of it sort of feels like a soft flannel material with layers of other material sewn underneath with a final more waterproof fabric on bottom.   Very well made, wash up great
