The sodium bicarb sprays felt like they were doing something but didn't really ease the blockages, and if I used them too much they left my ears feeling tender and sore. Having seen some reviews of this stuff that suggested better results I thought I'd give it a try - and have been pleasantly surprised. The mineral oil base means that it doesn't feel like you're spraying bleach in your ear - instead of a chemical 'fizzing' in the ear you can hear a gentle squelch as the spray softens the stuff that has hardened in there. I have found that since using this stuff for a couple of days I have been able to clear out more gunk from my ears than previously. I have to say it hasn't totally cleared my muffled hearing or blocked sensation, but I suspect I have more serious medical issues at the root of it.
