It does the job on various ladders

I was using this to hold a 10ft alumnum ladder on top of the first story.. 1) the straps - would have preferred buckles.. the velcro straps tear apart easily, had to use clamps to try to get the velcro to stay mated, did not inspire confidence! Also the machined fastening metal screw felt a little loose.

I’m not afraid of heights and I regularly do work on my roof using ladders but I don’t put a price on my safety. Having known people that have fallen off ladders or out of treestands, the cost is always terrible. That said, I truly think this product is worth its weight in gold. Though nothing bad has ever happened to me, the certainty of an additional connection point would have been insurance enough to justify the meager cost. This product is quality engineered and quite firmly constructed. I’m impressed by the weight of the clamp, the sureness of the connection points, and the width of the strapping. There’s nothing cheap about it, and I’m very pleased that I have it. My only criticism is that I didn’t know this existed years ago. I will use this product every single time I use a ladder.
