Perfect quality for the job
Great quality. Did the job

It does exactly what it says on the label.
My previous "Siamp Cistern Inlet Filling Valve Diaphragm Washer Seal 34951307" (from now on to be referred to as Si Seal) had degraded and finally failed. This caused my cistern to fill slowly from the high pressure jet of water that was now squirting out of the inlet valve, which given my diet of incredibly spicy foods and stuff found in the back of broken refrigerators wasn't ideal. In fact, I'm not sure if some of the stuff I eat even qualifies as 'food'. Does 'random slime oozing out of an old pot' count as part of your five a day? Anyway, sometimes I just have to double flush or I require multiple trips to the toilet in short succession, and having a slow filling cistern just didn't cut it at all. Waiting 20 minutes at a time to dispose of whatever unholy mess I'd created was eating into a lot of my spare time. Luckily I was able to find a Si Seal while browsing Amazon waiting for the cistern to refill so I managed to buy it in my oxygen deprived state, along with an extractor fan and a bumper pack of air fresheners. The Si Seal arrived pretty quickly and fitting it was rather simple. Once fitted my cistern was back to it's usual fast filling self, much to the relief of anyone 150m downwind of my bathroom window.

works but it is difficult to install/align
These work but they are difficult to install/align. When you align the valve with the slot in the ballcock body, make sure you turn the valve so that the plastic tang does not fowl/catch/snag on the side of the body otherwise the valve will not work. It has to be in the middle of the slot. Hope this helps.

they're pretty easy to replace
My toilet did not work. Now my toilet works. 10/10, does what it says on the tin. The rating is 5 stars for the convenience of sourcing this item. The actual item itself is a very high quality replacement too. Unfortunately, it's just prone to failure due to the design of the system as a whole. These things are known to fail after a few years on Siamp systems, so I'd say save yourself the future pain and buy a couple. That said, they're pretty easy to replace, the process is very intuitive, and it's very possible to do by yourself and save the cost of a plumber for what is ultimately (and very literally) a 5 minute job. Even if you aren't DIY minded, there are plenty of really informative tutorials out there on how to fit these. The three most important pitfalls though, are ensuring the water is shut off first, ensuring you fit the new valve with the same orientation as the old one (they are keyed though to prevent incorrect fitting), and ensuring that the water shutoff system works correctly once fitted - it can come unclipped when removing the valve holder which will prevent the inlet from closing once the water is at the maximum level.

Great value for money
The toilet cistern in question, manufactured by "Vitra" flushed okay, but took forever to refill. Like many previous reviews, I to had the same issue that caused the slow refill, which was that the Diaphragm Washer has a very small tear in it - this was simply due to years of wear. Whilst this replacement washer is manufactured by "Siamp", it transpires that this company actually makes the original part for "Vitra" and others, so perfectly good to use here. Replacement is very easy... 1. First, isolate the water feed to the cistern and flush the cistern 2. Unscrew the large plastic cap (marked as "A" in the attached photo) 3. Within this cap, you will find the diaphragm washer - simply remove this and replace with the new one. You will see a plastic vertical line on the back face of the washer - align this with the gap in the cap (it can only go in one way) 4. Once the washer is secured, screw the cap firmly back-on to prevent any leaks, ensuring the arm on the float is positioned as shown on the attached photo (marked "B"). 5. Reinstate the water feed and all being well, the flush/filling will be as good as new

Good product Bad quality
The Siamp 34951309 Cistern Inlet Float Valve Diaphragm Washer is a functional and affordable replacement part. It fits well into most standard cisterns and effectively stops leaks when properly installed. The multi-colour design doesn't add much in terms of aesthetics, but it's a minor detail given the washer's hidden placement. However, the material quality feels slightly less durable compared to other brands, which might require more frequent replacements. Installation is straightforward, though it may require some adjustments to achieve a perfect seal. Overall, it's a decent product for the price, but it may not be the most long-lasting option on the market.
