Very sturdy plastic junction box which I have used to connect some outdoor protected mains cable to both a PIR lamp and to my shed. There's plenty of room inside for "chocolate box" plastic connectors (do use the correctly rated ones) and you must screw up the gland fully (use discretion, it depends on how big your cable is, mine was 11.1mm) to make it water-tight. You could (but I did not) use some silicon sealant too. I mounted it so that the inlet/outlets were horizontal to the ground thus minimising the possibility of water ingress. I also added a drip loop to each cable, for the same reason. So far, after a few weeks with some really awful weather, it remains dry inside. Definitely worth the money.

The waterproof box has been connected and installed underground. It is well made and is ideal for the purpose - "it does what it says on the tin".

A 4 star product, with only 1 issue that I've found. The screws for the lid are extremely tight and difficult to screw in. I will be replacing them with some slightly better suited screws that can be wound all the way down as needed. The box itself is well built, plenty of space inside and fits the range of cables advertised. It appears waterproof, time will tell. It is currently sat in the back garden, housing a 3 way cable connection between the garden lighting ring and one of the garden lights.

I have ponds & water features & this box is one of the best I’ve used. Good size, easy to work with & does the job. Very pleased with it. This is a weather proof box but not suitable for submersion in water.

The junction box is well made and there is plenty of space to easily connect up the wires. Its looses one star for price, I think it would be more competitive around the £8, and looses another star for the lack of ring seals to cater for thinner cables. Also note that it did not come with any screws to connect the junction box to a wall.

I used this Junction Box to join a 12mm SWA 3 core 2.5mm2 Cable and two smaller diameter cables (8mm & 10mm). The space inside is sufficient to accommodate the wires of these cables but you may need to replace the connector block inside the box depending on the size of wire you have. The cable glands form a good seal around the cable but for added protection I daubed grease around the cable entries of the two smaller diameter cables. The third cable entry gland I replaced with a brass-plated steel M20 gland to make the Steel Wire Armoured cable termination. These glands usually come supplied with their own protective rubber boot but it’s still not a bad idea to smear some grease around the gland before sliding the boot over it. All three of the M20 plastic cable glands that come with the box can be removed if required. The box was screwed to a wooden post about 30cm from ground level but due to the size of the post I used, I could not use the fixing points at the 2-cable entry end so had to drill two internal holes in the box. The fixings at the other end were fine. Overall I’m pleased with the result and am confident the box will remain waterproof so I have no qualms of recommending this for any outside electrical installation.

Very sturdy and easy to connect, one observation..if you are using larger diameter cable i.e 6 mill armoured cable the Connector that came with it is just not big enough to cope with incoming cable.

Robust unit, well made, plenty of room inside to accommodate 2.5mm cable. The unit is sold as weatherproof but as an added precaution I put some sealant around the cable input/output ports.
