FIFA 17 - Standard Edition (Xbox One)

Hi I have played FIFA 17 on both the Xbox 1 and also the PS4. The following review covers both editions. Having played FIFA for many years I know my football games. You would tend to think this game would just be the same as the last version however I would have to say while in some ways it is I would say this is easily the best football game I have ever played. The reasons for this are as follows: Graphics: FIFA 17 graphics are very detailed, the players look very like the real characters and players, not just your Messi and big players either, even players from much smaller clubs than Barcelona etc. Gameplay: FIFA 17 gameplay is sleek realistic and simple to get used to. Playing a 1 player management game on it is fantastic, easily the best management game I have played, so realistic in that the best way to make a successful team is to invest in youths. You can strengthen individual player attributes by giving them specific training drills. The stronger they become the more their value goes up. It's truly awesome. The commentary and referees are fantastic, I guess that's not realistic then ! Haha ONLINE : Online gameplay is also fantastic, I have never lost conection ever. Play friends or strangers from all over the world and work your way up the leagues Cons: only fault I can think of is it's not the easiest to invite a friend to play online. It is possible and it works fab one you figure out how to do it. I would 100% recommend FIFA 17.

Purchased this for my boyfriend for our anniversary and it conveniently came out the next day. Purchased on pre order and was a bit worried about how and when it would arrive. It came on time during the day to my boyfriends work place so he had it as soon as he got home, he was very excited and I can only applaud Amazon for noticing it was a work place address and delivered during working hours. The game is great the graphics are incredible, we were watching live football the other day and I couldn't believe the quality of FIFA I kept saying this looks just like FIFA ! The journey element too is great fun and is just so much better from the last!

Wow can't get myself off this game at the moment, the little changes that they have made to pro clubs which has made it change for the better is brilliant. Then there is the journey, Alex Hunter and his road to supremacy your in control can you make it as a top premier league player? you'll have to play to find out. Overall a great game again and I'm finding myself playing more game modes than just the be a pro and the seasons mode, I love the changes to online gameplay and I don't usually play online

passing made alot better but i only play with game for pro clubs.... the edit your 'OWN' kit section wasn't the best and i was left disappointed as there wasn't alot to pick from and i thought you could really edit everything about but u couldn't. pro clubs is good but it's the same BS tbh possession doesn't really matter, and sometimes your whole computer controlled players will switch off for a few vital seconds allow the other team to cut through even though you've put high pressure on and stuff like that... pretty much bought it because its a fifa but if i was you id wait for a sale or price drop

First of all I'm a football manger fan and I went off the EA football games a good few years ago, But I seen this new addition to the EA franchise I read the reviews and watched a few people play it on twitch and I've got to say I was very impressed by it! Not played Fifa for awhile so the controls were abit difficult at first but after practicing I soon got the knack and things started to click, the graphics are stunning and the game play is as beautiful as the beautiful game it's self. I started the Alex hunter journey game and it's amazing! You really feel like you are becoming a footballer with the training and the highs and lows, come on as a sub and change the game or come on and have an absolute stinker, you really have to train and hone your skills and it's worth it. Ohh and the commentary is pretty good too. So if I can be converted to play FIFA football games again I'm pretty sure most will... I'd of given 10 stars if I could because it is that good! Well done EA!

The return of FIFA for the year, although not a huge change from the FIFA 16 series. There's been evident changes in the game play, graphics are definitely more defined and cleared, especially on players skin and faces. The colours shown and lighting have definitely improved as well and that's just the picture. In terms of gameplay the most evident changes are the set pieces, penaltys, free kicks and corners are harder to score from as these have been altered but for the better as was far too easy before! Players themselves are more indivisible and have their own traits and skills, for example with a pacey player a slow defender is no match and they actually this time can't keep up or those that aren't as skilled or have agility aren't always the best on the ball Career mode is what I tend to play heavily as always which ties me to buying the game! very similar to 16 but has been tweaked in terms of the objectives required to be met have been upgraded such as financial e.g shirt sales and brand exposure. However they have slightly developed the youth development where you actually are required to buy young upcoming players for improvement but I feel this still doesn't have too much of a purpose and needs further work! The journey looks visually stunning and is a great idea, not sure how much it will be of use but there is a story to follow and it seems to have different outcomes dependant on how you react to situations who is a positive! However it lacks in terms of features in that you are restricted purely to a premier league team and 'Alex hunter' would have been nice to create your own player and even use the game face feature so a bit disappointing. Ultimate team personally I've stopped playing as feel it's just more of a money focus for both players and EA and hasn't changed that much over the years so become a bit archaic and really is dependent on who spends the most money on packs or coins. Online with the new developments in gameplay is better and as of yet for once haven't had any problems with the servers on Xbox one fingers crossed! Also good to see a bit of development in pro clubs with the crest and kits but would be nice to see some further development here! Overall as usual the newest FIFA series has some gradual changes that regular players will notice and the introduction of some new features too which are good visually and for game play but there are no major alterations as such, I wouldn't personally pay full price and lookout for deals!

My son loved it! Anything football!

I'm very impressed with this FIFA update. The new additions such as the threaded through ball and different corner/penalty systems work very well. It plays very similarly to other FIFA games but everyone who gets the new ones regularly must know that anyway! For online play there seems a better balance between player types and player strength is much more important. It is not just about pace anymore, although pace is still important! FIFA 17 is a great game, if you enjoyed the other FIFA versions you'll like this one too!
