Good value for money

A really great set. It fact its my second as I have brought one of these sets for myself and was that impressed I have just brought my lad one who is studying mechanics and I have added it to his tool box. Definitely a tool that helped me out. After my Nissan failed its mot and getting a silly quote to replace the brake pipes from the garage I grabbed one of these kits and some brake pipe and fittings and me and my friend worked through the evening to replace all of brake lines and I have to say it was easy with this kit to help us. And the car passed the Mot with no problems the next day which was handy as later that day my mate went to America for 4 months and him being the size of a twig was a handy guy to have working on the car on ramps on my driveway.

As expected, this isn't a premium tool and tolerances aren't perfect. It is absolutely adequate though for the task and with a little practice it does the job in a very sturdy way that I expect to last for years. Need to be careful to align the frame and not squeeze the pipe, and then align the flare tool, but aside from that it works as expected.

I was able to achieve leak free joins in 3/16" copper brake pipe with relative ease. Great tool for the occasional users. It is a little fiddly to set up, but not difficult, if you take care and make sure everthing is aligned properly, it works well enough.

Seems good quality for the price. The only thing i noticed was that the copper piping i was using didn't fix init the correct hole on the vice as it was to loose. So i used next hole up but be careful as can mark the piping if tighten to hard. If you find that the flaring is coming out wonky make sure that the copper piping is straight..

This is cheap , considering it flares copper brake line perfectly , Its easy done , as i clamp this into a Bench vice , it just makes life a little easy that way , but it not required too have a Vice . The flares torn out perfect , as good as any 300 - 400 STG perfesional one , But a little solwer . my rating is 10 out of 10 if you are only using this a few times a year.

Having broken my previous Sealey tool I needed a replacement urgently so ordered this from Amazon. Delivery was really quick as expected. That's where the positives end. Plastic case was slightly damaged when I opened it up. While this kit may look like identical to others on the market from a distance, when you look at the quality of the shaping dies they don't look good. I've made loads of brake lines over the years so it's not like I don't know what I'm doing. I tried producing some 3/16 single (bubble) flares on a spare piece of brake line, tried various amounts of protrusion of the pipe and each time the flare was useless and would not have held. It just won't roll the end to the correct shape. Looking at the old die and the one in this kit you can see they've not spent any time designing it to work as it should. I also tied a double flare, but as the shape of the single flare is wrong, the double is even worse. If I could, I'd send this back as it's not fit for use and if you didn't know better you could easily produce a dangerous flare. Don't waste your money, find a better product than this Silverline rubbish flaring tool!

Useful bit of kit although they suggest practice on scrap piece first, I didn't and I should have. Easier to use if you've got access to a vice. Also the instructions say to stick pipe through the clamp 0.5 mm this is incorrect it should say 5mm. However once you master flaring it is very satisfying.

Dunque, non sono un professionista quindi non ho fatto un'uso spasmodico di questa cartellatrice. Devo però confermare quanto detto nel titolo, ovvero che mi pare un'attrezzo molto economico, utilizzabile. Non mi si è rotto tra le mani, anche forzando parecchio (l'ho usato per bordare dei tubicini inox). Il cono è temprato e non si segna.

Parfait pour les tubes cuivres et aluminium, mais ne compter pas sur cet appareil pour tout ce qui est tubes métalliques ( sur les Mercedes par exemple ) ce qui est mon cas Car cela force tellement pour former le collet que la matrice n’arrive pas à maintenir le tube qui fini par s’enfoncer Sinon très bon produit mais inutilisable pour moi qui suis sur du tuyau de suspension hydraulique de et donc en métal

Compre este juego de abocardador de aire acondicionado a pesar de que leí varias opiniones negativas y no suelo opinar de algo sin antes probarlo, he realizado más de 20 abocardados de diferente tamaño y todos me han salido perfectos, puede que no sea una herramienta de profesional pero hace muy bien su función. La recomiendo.
