Venum Challenger 2.0 Head Gear

Giving this 5 stars, however i have not had a chance to use it yet as it only arrived yesterday. I'm going to be using tonight. If you're new to buying a head-guard for MMA/Boxing then this will help. Usually, you will find a nice light Headguard with an open face, Adidas ones are a good example. Or you can find a nice tightly squeezed super padded Lonsdale headguard with cheek protection. What you will find in most cases, you have to sacrifice movement & speed, or protection. You either buy a nice lightweight one you can move around with that offers little protection or a big clunky one that protects you well but makes you a big slow target. This headguard has got 5 stars for me because the moment i got it out the box i thought wow, super padded, but SUPER LIGHT!! protects the cheeks well, feels nice and snug on my big head and no visibility issues. I can't comment on durability and longevity but for the moment, great headguard no doubt. I have been through around 5/6 over the last 5 years

Good quality headgear that works well for training This Venum Challenger 2.0 headgear has been a solid piece of protective kit for my sessions and felt worth the price for regular training and sparring. The padding around the forehead, cheeks, chin and ears feels substantial, giving a sense of comfort and protection without it feeling overly stiff or uncomfortable once it’s on. It fits snugly with the adjustable straps and, once tightened properly, doesn’t shift around during drills or lighter contact work. The material feels durable and the design isn’t overly bulky, so I’ve been comfortable wearing it for extended sessions without feeling too constrained. It’s also reasonably lightweight, which helps with mobility and keeps you from feeling weighed down when you’re moving your head quickly. I wouldn’t say it offers pro-level protection like the much higher-end gear, but for everyday training it feels reliable and solid enough. The overall comfort and protection have made it a good choice for my training needs and worth picking up if you want dependable headgear that doesn’t break the bank.

I was dithering between 4 or 5 stars, because I have only had it for a short while, so can't vouch for longevity. So far, it has been doing very well in sparring, though. I've been whacked about a bit, but it hardly swivels around, it stays put pretty good, especially since it's an easy-peasy velcro fastening, not lacing. BUT the instructions says it's suitable from 53-59cm and I would not recommend it for a smaller head than 55cm, which is my measurement. No head gear will protect you from concussion, but I find this one cushioned blows brilliantly and it was nice to not have red raw cheeks, for once! It will protect against eye brow cuts, upper cut chin cuts, and other cuts caused by twisting and smashing gloves. Your ears will be safe from scrunching too, but make sure you fit them properly into that lining cup. Your nose is not protected at all, a straight jab to your face will be felt just as hard as usual! I didn't find my view was particularly obscured, even when I tuck my chin in properly. Using head gear will always make you a larger target, but I really like this, I feel confident in it. I'm sweating less in this, than in other gear I've tried, it is light, and it is easy to clean out with a wet wipe. In most head gear you look like an idiot, but in this you will actually look rather cool, for a change! For the price, and for sparring, I think it's great! Love it!

Bought it for boxing sparrings. I hesitated to buy it because it came in one size. But it fit perfectly. Feels light, looks good, no vision abstractions. Now it is time to take it for a test.

Im a welterweight amateur boxer and this is The most lightweight and comfortable headgear I’ve ever used 11/10. Highly recommend and worth the extra money compared to cheaper headgear

Solid bit of kit I have quite a large head and this fits perfect. Does tend to slip a little when you take big shots occasionally and it can get a little hot too. But worth a shot on a budget.

i needed a decent headgear for competition and prevent injuries so I bought this on a whim. I never liked any of my headgears untilI bought this one. Great protection, i could tell the impacts were more diminished when wearing the headgear. Headgear is mostly secure in place, doesnt slide as much. Material on the inside feels soft and comfortable. My ears fit well into the earholes. Very light weight. Overall my head fits really well. The colors are pretty cool, Best part about this headgear is VISIBILITY. It is awesome. My top vision isnt blocked like my other headgears. However, the cheek protection seems to stick out from my face, which can cover some of my lower vision, but not by much. Really great product at an affordable price. I love Venum!

Restricts some sight which is expected but the cheeck pads dont even rest against the side of your face and push into the nose. The chin rest is very uncomfortable and causes instant irritation, let alone with sweat. This 'one size fits all' is really just a way to make more people buy it, and its unsuitable for 80-90% of people. Very little adjustment

Offre una buona protezione su fronte, zigomi, mento e orecchie grazie all’imbottitura a tripla densità, che assorbe efficacemente gli impatti senza risultare eccessivamente ingombrante. I materiali sono di buona qualità, anche se essendo sintetica tende a prendere odori sgradevoli prima. Consiglio degli appositi spry per pulire "a secco". Nonostante la protezione completa, il casco resta abbastanza leggero e garantisce una visibilità soddisfacente durante l’allenamento. Qualche limite riguarda la taglia unica, che potrebbe non adattarsi perfettamente a tutte le conformazioni della testa, e la ventilazione, non ottimale nelle sessioni più intense. Nel complesso, però, il rapporto qualità-prezzo è molto buono. Consigliato a chi pratica boxe o MMA a livello principiante o intermedio e cerca un caschetto affidabile senza salire su fasce di prezzo più elevate.

Protège bien, ne tient pas chaud aux oreilles, ne glisse pas, s'adapte facilement... il faut s'habituer à l'avant vers la bouche, ce genre de protection, mais sinon bien...
