Strong, reliable, and multi-use—solid water treatment for chlorine, ammonia, and nitrite control.
This bottle’s built for serious water prep—removes chlorine, chloramine, detoxifies ammonia and nitrite, and supports biofilter health. Geared toward freshwater and marine tanks, whether you’re doing full water changes or topping up. One capful treats 200L, so the 500ml bottle lasts ages. Works well in van stash, fish rooms, or home aquariums where water quality needs to stay tight. No smell, no clouding, and safe for all species. Ideal for new setups, emergency spikes, or routine maintenance. Can be used alongside meds and other treatments without clashing. Best dosed with a syringe or pipette for accuracy—cap measurements are rough. 👍 Pros ✅ Highly concentrated—small dose, big coverage ✅ Detoxifies ammonia and nitrite—supports cycling ✅ Safe for all fish, inverts, and plants ✅ No smell or residue—clean dosing ✅ Long shelf life—stays potent 👎 Cons ❌ Cap dosing is vague—use a syringe for precision ❌ No colour indicator—can’t see it in water ❌ Not a full-on bacteria booster—use with bio support if needed

Great product. One of the best.
Always use this product with other seachem products. One of the best and cheaper on amazon than I have seen. Generally I use after a water change. I use with clarity and the water quality is at its best when used. Very effective in keeping water quality and cost effective buying bigger bottles. Works quickly so I know my aquarium and fish are safe.

The Gold Standard
I never feel comfortable using anything else. I notice flashing, erratic swimming with API products. Seachem has fantastic technology backed by science not random additions of essential oils. I’ve now subscribed to Prime deliveries (Prime delivered by prime lol) so my goldfish get consistent, robust water change support each time. I recommend a pipette for truly accurate dosing as most of us can admit to missing the mark using bottle caps alone!

Genuinely wouldn't keep fish without it!
It doesn't just remove chlorine; it actually 'binds' ammonia and nitrite into a non-toxic form for up to 48 hours. This was a total lifesaver for me during a mini-cycle. It’s a five-star, high-quality product that gives you proper peace of mind every time you do a water change. Plus, it helps the fish produce their own natural slime coat rather than just adding a fake oily one. Brilliant stuff!

The prime cleans up the slime! It is so divine, you'll certainly not mind the word on the vine is this stuff is sublime! Make sure to choose prime, for your brine!

The story starts with my old established tank being broken by relatives kid and it just broke glass on base and one side. i have large angels, peacock rainbows, corycats and bosemani ranibows. i decided to make a new tank instead of fixing the old one, due to the size issues i had to give it 3 days after siliconing it to let it dry out, by that time the bacteria in my filter might not have survived as there was no circulation in filter. i brought prime to cure my issue of new tank syndrome as it was going to be a fully stocked tank, thankfully i had my sponge filter working in bucket so it had the bacteria colony from my old tank. seachem prime did what it was suppose to do, it helped me set up a tank and i just lost 1 fish. Its costly but considering its a highly concentrated solution and you just need 7ml for 300L (my tank is actually 290L) it would last you a long time. if you use any chlorine remover, you can replace it with this. it also converts ammonia/nitrate. please do remember adding this is not the end all of your regular maintenance, you will still need to change the water depending on stocking level of your tank and tank size. i highly recommend this and in long run it turns out to be around same cost as any other item.
