Easy to cut and not greasy or sticky. It stays put. I used it to seal a door from draft and noice. The putty works great and hasn’t changed shape or color. Easy to take off. I have t noticed any oil stain from it but I didn’t use it on wall paper so I don’t know. I like it so much I bought another box. Review: Great gap sealer - The putty has the consistency of play dough (maybe a bit harder) and it is very easy to mold into any shape by working it with your fingers. It seems to soften some as it gets warmer while being worked on. I used it to fill a gap between the wall and the base of a shower stall before applying Silicone caulk (see pic). The gap went from about 1/2" to 1/4". The putty does not harden so I don't think it is intended to be exposed to direct contact with water. Also, I could not get a smooth finish on it so it would not look good if left in sight, I will cover it with Silicone caulking. I ended up needing a little more than one box to fill the gap. I would suggest to the manufacturer to offer this product in round form to save time in molding it before applying. It's plyable and will stay in place when pushed into gaps but is not sticky. Will stretch a bit like playdough and is easy to use.
