Review: Excellent book for beginner or intermediate macro photographers. - I have read Ross Hoddinott's previous version of this book and it is interesting to see the improvements he has added to this newer version. Ross has improved his own photography and this is clear by the wide range of stunning close up photographs from insects to feathers and some interesting projects with household objects. My favourite parts of the book are making insect photography accessible to all with good advice on time to photograph and how to get those elusive dragonfly shots. There is an interesting section on using water droplets to create refraction effects with some lovely examples Ross has explained clearly so all could follow his lead. An excellent book for beginner and intermediate macro photographers.
