Hi One doesn't need to use tongue scraper as the Tung brush is specifically designed tongue cleaning. The low profile and large head design allows for quick and efficient cleansing on the back portion of the tongue.

Do you have to replace it as often as a regular toothbrush?

I've had mine months now and the bristles are like new, I use it twice a day after brushing.
