Q: Is a primer needed for dipping metal objects ?

have not used primer on snip handles and its ok. if need permanent hard/long last use would think so

Q: could i use this to coat my bare multigym cable?

Very likely it would perform well in this application providing the cable is not stretchy

Q: How viscous is this? I want to swirl it round the bottom of a pot to seal it

Hello, Thank you for your enquiry. Plasti Dip is thick like syrup, it is self levelling and depending on the size of your pot, you may be able to slowly swirl it. However, it can also be thinned with Plasti Dip thinners if required or more helpful. Kind regards, Alison
