Better than HDMI
My old Mac mini wouldn't drive my new 4K screen at a sensible resolution using an HDMI cable but as it had a Mini DisplayPort compatible thunderbolt socket I tried this on a hunch and it does the job at 1080p which is just what I wanted.

Great for VR
Great for my VR headset. Tried a combination of HDMI to DP, HDMI to HDMI with no success. but this connected and worked fantastic. The connector locking in to my PC also helped with a better connection.

Super connector
The cable is currently connecting my 2017 MacBook Air to a Samsung 4K external monitor. And doing a fine job. Worked immediately as plug and play, monitor recognised Mac and required settings were available (display scaling etc). Would buy another.

It does its job
Supporting Full HD at 144hz with no problems, used on a FreeSync monitor reaching Gsync compatibility

Worked great, until it failed after 3 months
This worked great for hooking up my 2013 Macbook Pro to a 4K monitor. It gave a 4K picture and seemed pretty sturdy, but the pre-2015 Macbooks apparently can only output at 30Hz - not a fault of this cable though. Unfortunately after 3 months though, the cable failed. It wasn't getting plugged in/out regularly at all - it just sat connected on my desk, until the point it stopped working one day. Tested some older (non-4K) cables and they work fine, so I'm sure it's not my laptop of the monitor, but the cable unfortunately.

The cable feels to be of good quality and the connectors are solid. It's not very flexible but that wasn't a problem for my application.
