Glass kiln is a new type of high temperature kiln for glass melting or softening. Review: Great kiln to make fused glass jewellery - I have now purchased 4 of these kilns and think they are amazing. I now make fused glass pieces with a craft group and we all love these kilns and how effectively they fuse the glass pieces. The surface to place items is the size of a small round coaster. I use the kilns with a 700 watt microwave set on high and to fire 4 pieces of jewellery takes between 18-21 mins. If using copper foil I set the microwave at med/high and it takes approx 24 mins. Very happy to recommend the product and seller.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: Why did my kiln not come with instructions?**
A: I don’t think mine did either but I already had a ‘Hotpot’ kiln which did. If you google the Hotpot site, you should get an idea from there. A quickfire starter is:- always use either thinfire paper or kiln wash on the base, three layers of glass max, DON’T use glue on clear, it shows as a burn but a drop on dark colours to secure the layers ok. Use oven gloves as kiln gets very hot!
 I find with my microwave on 100%, an initial 5 min blast then subsequent 1 min blasts with a quick PEEK to check progress for 3 mins, then 30 sec blasts (usually 12-13 mins total, depends on glass and micro) there will be an orange glow showing in the hole from 10 mins, keep ‘peeking’ till desired rounding/melting acheived then remove from micro BUT DO NOT open lid (will stress fracture due to temp diff) allow to cool fully before removing and handling. Hope this helps

**Q: Is there a kiln thats bigger than ca 19cm?**
A: I don’t know but I think the one you are asking about is the larger kiln. It maybe the size is restricted to head height of microwave and size if turntable plate in microwave.

**Q: Inner size says 5.3 x 1.8 inches ? What’s the 1.8 inch dimension ?? 🤔**
A: This is the night of the interior

**Q: How do you attach the silver findings to the glass**
A: I glue my bails on with superglue. It is possible to screw a hole through the glass if you have the right tools.
