Plant died but after two years...
Venus flytraps are a challenge to care for! I bought from this seller in 2018 and to be honest I can't remember the state the plant arrived in but there wasn't soil everywhere. It had moss in which the plant seemed to enjoy (unsurprisingly as these plants are normally grown in swamps). It was a very happy and healthy plant pet for a long time but I think it wasn't able to catch enough flies/spiders because two years later, during winter, it went dormant and just didn't grow back unfortunately. I did notice it was struggling to catch spiders leading up to this time and so was feeding it dead worms (it was all I could manage handling) or more (squished) spiders when they wandered into my house, but I think the plant will do better when it's in a house where it can regularly catch flies/live food (I. E. Not a second floor flat because I have to do something to regularly attract flies to the flat and why would I do that? Lol). I did specifically only water the plant with deionized water (the kind you put in cars) which helps the logivity of the plant because other kinds of water has minerals in it that can build up and kill the plant. Experience of caring for the plant aside, I very much recommend this seller just on the basis that the plant survived two years outside of any of its normal environment, meaning it must have come from a very good nursery. I will be buying more as my mum wants one as well now and she has a garden (as well as a car so it's less weird for her to buy that water at a gas station lol), but my advice is do your how to care research before getting this plant, especially from amazon as you don't know what environment it grew up in. The holographic card it comes from is the truth, this is both a pet and a plant, treat it accordingly lol.

Broken and tiny :(
Very disappointed - arrived and it was tiny, most of the soil had fallen out the pot along with the plant, and the plant was all broken and squashed and covered in soil - not what I expected for nearly ยฃ13. They need to package these better so they don;t rattle around a big box and get so damaged.

Arrived well packaged
Arrived well packaged, but a LOT of soil was in the traps (maybe a bit too much soil in the pot....). I was worried there were too many traps in one pot, as it is very crammed, however after reading online, they prefer to be a bit much bunched, and after a few days of settling down on the windowsill (and removing excess soil) I have lots of new growth and they are very healthy.

Venus 'Fly-Chomper' !
Plant was delivered in a large sturdy container , it arrived with a flowering stem which is advisable to crop off as soon as , it had/has plenty of 'leaves' forming . Av had 2 x months now and is thriving , av cropped another flowering shoot about 2 centimetres from base and kept the plant in a centimetre of water (rain water) all the time sat on window sill that occasionally sees sun light . Av not seen plant catch any insects yet but 1 leaf has closed (not advisable to force feed them as this can 'tire' the plant and would kill it) have re-potted to a 15 centimetre pot (originally delivered in a 9), which has given it some 'arm' room if you like and has been 'thankful' for it , now flourishing . Av been advised not to use 'feed' just keep moist at all times as soon as you see pot bottom go dry re-water (1x centimetre depth and tiny drop on top careful not to drop on plant) Get thee sen one an see ow ya go !! FEEED MEEE .

Looked good but died quickly
Looked good when it arrived. Followed all the care instructions but it went black and died within a couple of weeks. Seems a bit strange when I have a lot of other healthy plants in the house.

Catching flies.
Not as large as I expected. The soil had fallen out of the pot leaving the Plant exposed. I used the loose soil and more or less repotted the plant. I will have to get some more potting compost for it. Flies steer clear of it and Im still waiting to see if it will catch any! after about 2 months the plant died .deader than a dodo.wasted my money,
