Review: Very solid product but caution needed - This is a very robust feeling product and the ink flow and colour is really excellent. You do need to be careful though if you’re a first-time user like me, as when you release the ring that blocks the ink flow, it can come out fast! I got the medium-sized brush and it’s really difficult as a novice to use it for the size of average handwriting (if you know what I mean). It requires practice to be able to write at a normal handwriting size but if that’s what you’re determined to be able to do, you’ll do it. The characters look lovely in this ink and the brush is really good for the dynamics between thick and thin strokes. Enjoy writing your 汉子! 👍🙂
Review: Amazing pen - Bought this for my girlfriend as she really wanted a brush pen to do pencil-less sketching and ink drawings (Now she is using it for inktober). The pen took a while to get here but it is from Japan so that was to be expected, however the tracking was kept up to date and it arrived when it said it would. The pen is easy to use after a bit of practice with controlling lines and pressure but once you get the hand of it, it is an amazing tool to have.

**Q: Is there refills with it**
A: Hello,
Yes, its the whole black end: "Pentel Brush Pen Cartridge Ink Refill - Black Ink XFR-AD"
Search for that in amazon.

**Q: Is the ink waterproof?**
A: The ones with the black body are not waterproof I hear the great ones have pigment ink but I've never tried

**Q: I bought the refill cartridges that were suggested to buy with this pen, however I can't understand how I'm supposed to refill it?! Anyone any ideas??**
A: Easy when you know how.  Hopefully, you have the XFR-AD cartridge.
1. Unscrew the used cartridge, and dispose of it.
2. Hold the new cartridge with the opening pointing upwards.
3. Screw the pen onto the new cartridge, remember point 2 above.
4. Turn the pen the right way around to write, and press the new cartridge to get the ink to flow. 
5. Gentley write with the pen whilst pressing the new cartridge, gentle ly.  It may take 5 minutes of writing before the ink flows to the nib.

**Q: What is the tip length of xfl2b? (exposed bristles) thank you.**
A: Just over a centimetre

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Brush tip is awesome, red ring is hard to remove

The ink is deep and black, and you can control the flow rate yourself both by how hard you press and how hard you squeeze. The brush tip is excellent quality and can be reformed if distressed. Only problem I’ve encountered is that I wasn’t able to remove the red ring before use. Im not entirely sure what the ring does, because it appears I’ve popped whatever seal was in place trying to unscrew the cartridge to remove the ring, and now ink is flowing anyway. It doesnt work amazingly well, presumably because I still have the red ring in place, but I dont really have any choice but to use all the ink up before attempting to remove it again, lest I get ink everywhere. Pretty disappointing first use because of that. Its not fancy looking, its all function and has a cheaper plastic feel, but I’ve used many brush pens before, and the brush itself is the highest quality I’ve ever used. So while it hasn't been the greatest of experiences so far, Im looking forward to the refill to get it working correctly
