1 x Ground/Telescopic Pole - Spike/Stake

Bought for flag pole - which did the job. Good and held in ground well. Bit thin for flag pole. To get around this we mounted pole on ground spike and used guide rope to stop it blowing too much. I Would say if youre using for a wider flag pole then its worth buying a couple and putting them in together which I will do when I use it again.

Used for a telescopic flag pole. Worked well but would recommend a second method of securing it as this isn’t enough.

Recently used this at The latitude festival and bought 2 bungee cords and a 4m telescopic pole from skyblue at the same time. This was very sturdy. I had just over a third of it in the ground and it stayed securely in the ground. One spike was sufficient. Very prompt delivery.

In effect, its a large pencil like GRP (glass reinforced plastic) rod (1cmx100cm) with a slightly sharpened end. I'm not convinced you could knock this into the ground to the vendor stated (40cm) depth on anything other than soft ground (certainly not on our recent camping trip where the soil was very hard and sun baked). The vendor suggests simply placing your hollow pole over the protruding 60cm section of the stake (which will work, but is unfixed and subject to lift depending on wind sock design and wind speed, as well as being subject to easy theft). However you may prefer to fasten your pole next to the stake using a bungee or similar (no fixings are provided to fasten stake to pole, so order a bungee at the same time, if you dont already have something to do the job). It was delivered promptly and well packaged and is a fair price for what it is, but note postage is as expensive as the stake itself. It is indeed better than a garden cane plus is flexible and light, but if I looked hard enough I could have gotten something from my local DIY shop which would be just as good for less (after postage factored in).

Item is as described, came a day later than I needed but nonetheless item is as was advertised. 1 thing I will say is that it was just posted in a clear bag so wont know if it is damaged from not being wrapped/protected in bubble wrap or a box until my next trip out and try and push it into the ground. Don't let this put you off buying from this seller it's just something I would have preferred to have seen it arrive in for my peace of mind, like I said dont let this put you off it's just me being picky and a little concern until I know when I try and push it into the ground, fingers crossed it'll be ok for moto GP in August.2
