Perfect amount for blind baking in a 23cm tart tin. Have another set of these from 4 years ago, they have held up, none shattered, and as these look identical then I expect that they will last.

The beans are good but the plastic pot was damaged when it arrived so no use whatever to store them in had to buy a second tub as the first one wasn’t enough for a large dish I bought but overall a good product Now keep them in a canning jar which works really well as you can poor them in straight from the oven as these jars are made to withstand heat ( I alway leave the lid open until they cool down though )

After having a chat with my mum - expert quiche maker and nearly 80 years old - she remembers having Tala branded items in her 'bottom drawer' when she got married. This is a brand that has stood the test of time. After many accidents using old rice to blind bake (I also seem to spill it everywhere!!!). I decided to purchase the Tala baking beads. Now blind baking a quiche using Tala's excellent 20cm quiche tin (also sold on Amazon) is a cinch and I've got the added bonus of a tub to store the beans too. Highly recommended.

There are great quality and make baking tart bases so much easier. There’s just the right amount, giving a good weight for a perfect bake.

Good for blind cooking

Ich hab die Tala Backbohnen nun schon eine ganze Weile im Einsatz, seit Anfang 2024, und sie sind für mich unverzichtbar geworden, wenn es ums Blindbacken geht. Vor allem bei meinen American Pies ist es mir wichtig, dass der Boden schön knusprig wird, ohne dass die Füllung zu früh aufgeht. Und genau da spielen diese kleinen Keramikbohnen ihre Stärken aus. Ich nutze sie etwa ein- bis zweimal im Monat, je nachdem, wie oft mich die Backlust packt. In der Zeit hab ich schon etliche Pies damit gebacken, und ich muss sagen, die Ergebnisse sind jedes Mal top. Die Hitze verteilt sich super gleichmäßig, und die Bohnen halten ihr Gewicht, sodass der Teig wirklich nur dort knusprig wird, wo er soll. Kein Aufblähen mehr, keine ungleichmäßige Bräune – einfach nur perfekt. Was ich besonders schätze, ist die einfache Handhabung und Reinigung. Einmal abkühlen lassen, kurz unter fließendem Wasser abspülen und trocknen lassen, und schon sind sie wieder einsatzbereit für die nächste Backsession. Die Menge ist auch ideal für die meisten meiner Formen, und ich überlege ernsthaft, mir bald noch eine weitere Packung zuzulegen, falls ich mal eine besonders große Tarte backe oder einfach ein bisschen mehr Reserve haben möchte. Für mich sind diese Backbohnen definitiv eine klare Kaufempfehlung. Sie machen den Backprozess einfacher und das Ergebnis besser. Wer oft backt, besonders Torten und Pies, sollte sie unbedingt mal ausprobieren! Fünf Sterne von mir, ganz klar! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
