This product is fantastic! I have been using it for my dogs since 2017 and really recommend it. Both my 2 dogs are so frightened of fireworks they used to bark and run around looking for somewhere to hide. It was horrible to see them suffer and feel there was nothing I could do to help. As we live close to a park every year there are fireworks going off. I felt I could not keep putting them though this and did not feel happy giving them drugs. I decided to try the Adaptil diffuser and found it was the answer to our prayers. No longer did he have panic attacks which lasted for hours. They were calm, relaxed and completely chilled out - so much so that they slept through several bonfire nights which sounded increasingly like war zones! I have also used Adaptil to help them settle in when there is music in the park that is very loud. I feel really sorry for the people and, of course, their dogs who don’t use this for their dogs as it has made a massive difference to my dogs' lives and therefore mine!

I bought this item with some doubt as to whether it would help. I've used the feline equivalent with some success (recommended by my vet) and so thought this might be worth a go. We moved house in December and our already fretful adolescent Gordon Setter just was not settling down. His separation anxiety increased massively after moving and I was having to fight with him to put myself on the other side of the door from him. When I wasn't in the same room as him, he pined and pined. Apart from the stress caused to me (dirty clothes, constant noise, torn up flooring;), I was becoming desperately upset about what a horrible time of it he must be having. So, that brings me to the week before last, when I bought the Dog Appeasing Pheromone (incidentally, I was able to purchase just the refill because this fits the diffuser that comes with the Feliway cat pheromone). We plugged it in on Saturday (30th Jan) and by Monday (1st Feb) there was an incredible difference which has now been maintained for a week. He no longer pines for hours (just the very occasional whimper) and when I go to leave him in the kitchen, there is now rarely a race for him to get through the door before I can close it behind me; he is more likely to stand in the middle of the room, watching me. This is a massive step forward and is allowing me to apply some longer term behavioural strategies, when before he was far too worked up to be receptive to them. I can reward him with praise and treats and we generally have a much nicer, calmer time together. I don't know whether all dogs will be as receptive to this product as mine has been; I suppose it depends on what's underlying the problematic behaviour. I also wouldn't advocate its use as an alternative to behavioural strategies. I would, however, recommend that anyone with a stressed pooch at least gives it a try as a relatively inexpensive and non-invasive treatment option that will allow both you and your dog to dedicate yourselves to behavioural strategies that will help overcome separation anxiety in the longer term.

This product is brilliant for helping calm my dog, I've been using it for a few years now and although it's well worth it, the price has increased greatly in the last 12 months. My most recent purchase was for 2 of the refills and as it's not clearly stated, I ended up paying 2 lots of delivery charges and they were shipped separately even though I purchased them together only changing the quantity to 2. At the time, I had a few other items in my basket and you don't get a breakdown of what delivery is for what unless you go into each item separately and pick the delivery option and then work out how much extra or less the choice has made the delivery cost. For future reference an option for combined postage would be nice for customers.

I was recommended Adaptil by my dogs veterinary doctor. My youngest dog couldn't settle too well slightly skittish so I bought a bottle of the plug in. Because back then I didn't seem to notice a huge difference and decided not to get further refills. But as he grew up he's now 5 years old because of the Covid lock down and the fact I was taken to hospital he'd become afraid of everything, his fear turned to aggression towards me and my older dog. Somehow he blamed me for having left him even though a family were looking after them both until I came home from the hospital. The whole experience was a tragedy for him as he'd become totally insecure, afraid to go outside every ounce of his confidence had gone. A few weeks ago I decided to see if Adaptil would make a difference at this stage. The bottles last around 4-5 weeks and were now on the 4th. I truly cannot believe the massive difference it has made to most importantly him but also to my older dog and I. Don't get me wrong he still barks when he hears the postie, he's also very protective when were outside if he thinks another dog is approaching and he'll give a quick growl. But he's much,much more relaxed and for several weeks now he's showed no signs of aggression. For our life it's pure magic and a miracle in a bottle. I'd highly recommend if your dog is using aggressive behaviour to show his/her fear give it a go I'm so happy that I have.

We are very big fans of Adaptil products and have used them for all of our dogs over the years. We keep the plugins going around times when fireworks and thunderstorms are likely. Our Greyhound was terrified of loud noises, and the Adaptil Plugin gives 30 days of relief and a great calming effect without creating a noticeable smell for humans. They are very easy to use as you just fit them into a conventional 3-pin plug and allow them to work until the unit needs a refill. They just look like an ordinary air freshener in the socket. We position ours near the dog's be,d which gives him maximum releif.

Je pars de la maison très tôt et je rentre tard. Les voisins me laissaient des mots me disant que mon chien gémissait de mon départ jusqu’à mon arrivée. J’ai usé de plusieurs stratagèmes dont cet adaptyl et depuis ça se passe très bien. Les voisins ne me laissent plus de mot. Il est beaucoup plus détendu.

J'achète et je rachète pour mon chien qui fait de l'anxiété régulièrement. Il dort tres souvent a proximité immédiate de la prise donc je pense que ça lui fait du bien. Par contre c'est un budget a force, mais ça marche.
