This comforting, reassuring picture book will help young children come to terms with divorce and separation. A little boy tries to find a pot of parent glue to stick his mum and dad back together. His parents have come undone and he wants to mend their marriage, stick their smiles back on and make them better. But, as he learns, even though his parents' relationship may be broken, their love for him is not. "An excellent book aimed squarely at young children." Nursery World "Resonates with empathy and poignancy." Junior Review: Difficult subject handled brilliantly for children - In this beatifully illustrated story Mum and Dad's love for each other is broken and the search is on for glue to fix it. This book puts separation and divorce in a refreshingly optomistic context that children will be reassured to understand. I saw this book on 'Bookaboo' and like him was ready to rock afterwards! I have 3 children and I am currently separated, so purchased this and shared it with my two youngest. They now speak confidently and more openly about the current situation, and understand more about why things are this way. Thank you Kes Gray and Bookaboo for the opportunity to clear some of my childrens confusion. Review: A lovely book - I bought this to help my little one understand that even though me and her dad were parted, it wasn’t her job to try to fix us and that it was okay to feel the way she did but she was still very loved. The pictures where lovely and the story was perfect. As a parent who also works with children I can say it’s a valuable support.

Hits the mark
Bought this book for my granddaughter who is struggling with the break up of her parents relationship. I read this to her and her brother with her mother listening in. It struck a chord with her mother and I feel helped her to understand the feelings her children feelings at this difficult time as much is it helped the children. A very good book to help children understand their feelings at a life changing time.

RECOMMENDED BOOK
Very helpful book / story! Able to explain to my Son what has happened and how we plan to move forward. Constant reassurance. Recommend to families going through a tough time. The book also helped me heal! Knowing my Son understands is a huge weight off my shoulders.

Fantastic book
Bought this book for my little boy to help him with his feelings around his Dad and I separating. Wow, what a book! It brought me to tears reading it. He absolutely loved the book, has read it multiple times and it's helped him with accepting the separation. He's even taken it into school and the school have used it as part of their PHSE lesson around different families to open up dialogues with the children. Highly recommend!

Great book
This book is a lovely story to try and explain to children about their parents splitting up. It is really sensitive and explains in a gentle way how not everything can be fixed by glue. I ordered it for a pre school room in a day nursery and it probably is aimed at slightly older children although the 3 - 4 year olds enjoyed it.

This is a brilliant book which deals with an ever familiar situation in a child friendly way. Brilliant :-)
I support children in a school environment and so I am therefore always looking for different resources to help me to support the children and families. This book ticks every box - it is fun and children absolutely love the story but it has a very serious message behind it. I have shared it with the parents of the children I am working and one of my parents bought the book to share with her child at home. A brilliant book which deals with this very serious issue in a child friendly way. Love it and would recommend it to parents and professionals alike.

Just the job!
I bought this for my 9-year old grand-daughter whose parents have recently separated. She loved it - was obviously amused by it, enjoyed the fact that she could read it herself, and quickly realised it was relevant to her situation. A good choice for younger chldren, too, as it is a book to be shared. It encouraged my grand-daughter to talk about her feelings, which must be a good thing.

Excellent book!!
It isn't too prescriptive with who should live with who, or even that the child will live with their dad. Sometimes it's not possible for the child to live with their dad and so this book doesn't set a child up for disappointment in that way.

Great rhyming book
Great illustration, great content. At first it sounds a bit heartbreaking that the little boy wants to fix things! Through the end he learns how to cope with it and stop fixing.
