W. Axl Rose: The Unauthorized Biography

Good detailed reading.

Better than the dirt. Mick Wall is a fantastic writer and was there when the wheels were in motion and then subsequently came off all together. Excellent rock journalism. Great read. Axl is a strange man. It's good to be reminded of the context this all happened in. A period of rock history, and indeed our lives, that most of us choose to forget. At that time, when the right man for the job was needed, it could only have been Axl Rose.

really interesting book, it is more than a biography of axl rose. It helps to understand the decline of hard rock in the 90s. the author is not a close friend of axl, he is quite impartial.

Great service, fast postage, it arrived in no time, a book with unknown information on the history of Guns! It describes Axl Rose a the red-head dictator that split Guns but since I love Axl, I'm not sure I can accept this version.

Just as described and arrived well within the suggested time frame. No faults.

I'm not finished reading this, but the more I get into it, the more it looks like just another Axl-bashing session and seems to favor the former members of Guns N' Roses.

I thoroughly enjoyed this detailed account about the origin and shenanigans of that Rock powerhouse known as Guns N Roses. The author makes use of a very learned vocabulary despite what the cliche on a book dealing with the origin and exploits of a Rock band, would lead us to believe. I had to crack open the dictionary many times over. Axl's and Slash's personalities, but especially Axl's, shine through and, captivate the reader. After finishing this delightful book, I came away with a more much enhanced appreciation of Guns N Roses and Axl, and what they convey and stand for.

Eins muss ich vorab los werden habe dieses Buch innerhalb von drei tagen komplett durchgelesen es packt den Leser förmlich. Beschrieben ist das Leben des Axl Rose offen bleibt allerdings für einen wie man diese Person nach dem lesen sieht. Ich kann mir gut denken das es über ihn diverse Meinungen gibt zum einen der aggressive und ich pfeif auf meine Fans Axl Rose und zum anderen eine traurige Figur im Hard Rock ich finde Axl Rose ist zu bemitleiden einst der große mega Star mit falschen Freunden heute leider ein Schatten seiner selbst. Man kann sich seine Ansichtssache aussuchen ich finde aber auch man sollte versuchen sich in diesen Mann hinein zu versetzen. Eine Textzeile die am Besten zu Axl Rose und dem Buch passt ist aus Estranged und somit auch mein Schluss Wort :When you're talkin' to yourself And nobody's home You can fool yourself You came in this world alone

Apres avoir lu cette bio où Axl est interviewé par un journaliste a New york dnas les années 90 a la fin de la tournée Illusion tour apres 1993 vous comprendrez le personnage et la raison du succes du groupe et de sa chute avec le line up original qui ne pouvait co-exister vu les egos et les addictions . Slash n'est pas celui que l'on croit ,le gentil guitariste talentueux qui ne pouvait monter sur scene sans insulter ses partenaires sauf s"il etait ivre ... Duff ne savait meme pas dans quel pays ils se trouvaient quand ils jouaient ... Axl etait traumatisé par le fait de se rendre compte qu'il etait seul au fond dans le groupe a gerer les problemes de chacun et contre les managers ayant bouqué une tournée de 2 ans sans interruption sans l'accord du groupe . Cest une des raisons pour lesquelles il ne pardonnera jamais a Slash son attitude destructrice aux drogues durant cette tournée dans le futur du groupe ...

Wie man es nicht anders erwarten konnte. gut geschrieben und leicht verständlich:)) Kann es empfehlen Lieferung hat etwas zu lange gedauert. Aber so ist es eben manchmal!

I was concerned about it coming from the UK but I actually received it before something I ordered 3 states away!!! Needless to say, it had VERY fast shipping, the Postal Service seems faster than FED EX!!! This seemed to be in better condition than was stated which I thought was wonderful. This book is a must if you are a GNR fan or just an Axl Rose fan! the pictures in the book are pretty awesome too!
