Decent
Not the sturdiest of work benches, however, for the price, it’s very good. It’ll do most light to medium jobs with ease. I’d recommend this work bench for casual DIY-ers doing odd jobs around the house. If you’re looking for a work bench that would suit trade, I’d say buy a more expensive one that is better suited to heavier work loads. All said, this particular item is very easy to assemble, good quality and very much value for money. Recommended.

Excellent for diy jobs
I don’t normally write reviews and I didn’t even read the reviews for this until after I purchased it and I’m glad I didn’t beforehand due to the negative ones. The first time using this I cut a 3000mm worktop, being as heavy as it was and doing it all by myself as a women, the work bench with stood the weight really well I was surprised. Expecting it to break any time as well as my own back lol but So far so good. It was a bit fiddly to assemble and whatever instructions I got wasn’t very clear but probably the only negative thing I have to say about it. It’s very light too and opens up to a nice workable width etc. Excited to continue to use it for further projects in my new home. Although during the work I was doing I kept dreading the inevitable however It has lasted longer than 20 mins despite most of the reviews :)

Disappointed
Based on the photos on the Amazon webpage, this looked like a Clarke workbench that I bought in approx 2002. Unfortunately it is not the same. The Silverline bench looks the same but is much lighter / less robust, and is also slightly lower in height. I'm disappointed. Also it requires assembly which took me nearly half an hour.

Low cost substitute for an old Black and Decker Workmate - hardly as good but fine for me

Don't expect top quality for a budget price
Nice and light to carry. Easy to assemble and then to fold and unfold. Might not be sturdy enough for more robust projects, but it is perfect for my needs. So far it has done everything I wanted it to

Guaranteed Forever? Who are you kidding.
Item is supposedly 'Guaranteed Forever'. The small print probably says '... or until you open the box'. This is a flimsy bit of kit and it's not well-made. On opening the box you'll find that the crossmembers marked 'Silverline' have probably got bent in transit. But hey, they're so thin you can bend them back with your fingers. Then you'll find that at least one bolt is so poorly made, that it's impossible to get a nut on to it. OK, raid the bits and pieces box for something suitable. After final assembly, move it to its storage place in the garage/shed. Then notice that one of the plastic feet has fallen off because it's slightly oversize. If you find it - and I did - by the time it's dropped off twice, you'll glue it on. And as for in use - well, it's so light that you'll need to put a foot on it to do anything at all, as it'll simply fall over or lean under the slightest pressure. Personally I wouldn't care to test the 100kg claim with anything of value. In summary, it's cheap for a reason and if you have some real lightweight jobs to do, it'll probably be ok. But for any serious work - cutting a piece of wood for instance - pay more and get something properly robust, not something made out of materials one step up from tinfoil, packaged in a shed where the quality control department is permanently out to lunch.

Cheap, light but sturdy enough for odd jobs
I always base cheap buys off, you get what you pay for but considering how cheap this is compared to other models I was surprisingly impressed with how good it is. If your only going to use it for the odd job then it's perfect, feels light, feels cheap but really does the job well, I paid £18 so I didn't expect much but it was better than I expected. If you've got a big job on I'd spend a bit more but for the odd DIY job it's bob on.

One handle defective, doesn't work at all. Honestly, it's a rubbish workbench, cheap but crap. It comes with the item box, there is no Amazon box to protect it, my box was on my front door in the rain for hours. I am not happy. Returned of course.
