Works very well, I have ripped hundreds of CDs using this. It's light, compact and easy to use. I wouldn't say its exremely durable, but if you take care of it, it will last a long time. Great for the price

product is good as i purchased two of these but when i opened the second one i discovered the power lead missing so i have sent it back through the repair section with a note explaining this...neil

The third time I have ordered an external dvd drive and the only one to work with my Lenovo Ideapad. No instructions but straightforward once connected, I use it with Windows Media player. Good delivery, well packaged, arrived on time. Satisfied.

New PC's rarely come with a DVD drive and I needed to read old home dvds into my computer to edit. This was an excellent choice and did the job very well.

As expected from a company like HP, this external DVDRW performs well. I am very pleased with it so far.Admittedly I have only been using it for a few weeks but I used it for 4 hours a day burning back ups for dozens of home videos DVD’s. In that time only a few did not burn successfully. which may not have been the fault of this machine. Hopefully, it will last as long as the 15 years my last one lasted, which was another quality make.

Looks good, very good but would like to use it. No usb cable provided. HP say should be in package….was not ! have since purchased two from you, both wrong. No help offered tried on a regular basis to be told I need usb cable. Yes obviously but which one , please help.

A very sleek and slim drive, if you only buy one External Drive, it's this one, no need for set up, reliable laser, straight up and down USB plug and play. Do note, upon first use, it will alert you that the Drive Region is set to 1 (in Europe it is Region 2), drives only have 5 region changes unless modified (not recommended) so make sure you are using the correct region for your discs.

I only bought this to upload files from cd's etc. as my HP laptop does not have a cd dvd drive. It worked ok for that but the build quality of this product is quite flimsy - you have to handle it very carefully so you don't break it. I am disappointed in the build quality as I expected better from HP. Also, the cable that came with it is very short, so I recommend buying a longer cable for it. Good product can use with pc and laptop as well. Good design. Build quality is also good. Performance is satisfactory as USB drive.
