Tremendous!
At last, a steel that actually works! Even cheapy knives with very hard blades can be sharpened with the coarse section of the ceramic and a little pressure. Quality blades just need a few strokes on each side using the smoother ceramic. I tend to lay the ceramic flat on the kitchen worktop, holding the handle sticking out to steady it. A decent length ceramic at 23cm, handle grip 11.5cm. I had to enlarge the hole in my knife block for the slightly larger diameter of the ceramic compared to conventional steel. A pleasure to use.

Great great steel
Great steel sharpens knives really nicely and quite a good price. Just don't drop it Wasn't the steels fault just a fare warning

That is my second Koycera sharpening rod, I am very happy with it, do a brilliant job. One small minus is -it breaks very easy.

At last a knife sharpener that works.
I have a drawer with four different types of high tech knife sharpeners in it, they either don't work or take so long to set up and use that I can't be bothered. This just takes a matter of seconds to keep the edge on the knife so I use it regularly rather than waiting until the knife gets really blunt.

Cheapo
Rougher than I imagined. Didn't leave a very nice finish. Chipped easily on the serrated portion

Good honing, not so great at sharpening.
Its not bad. Its does the job. My reservation is in the sharpening ridge set, I would've expected a better result (obviously not expected as good as dedicated sharpening stones...). I've some portable ceramics and they are far better as the sharpening. The honing service is give is good.

Where has this thing been all my life? I had dull knives for years. No more. A few strokes each way on this beauty and they are incredibly sharp. Note: you will need to learn to hold your knives at the proper angle. This sharpener will both hone and sharpen. It has ridges on one side that will create an edge. I used the ridged side when I first got the sharpener, now I just use the smooth side every now and then and my knives stay sharp. I can't say what a joy it is to have sharp cutlery. It makes cooking so much more enjoyable. A word of caution, this will make your knives very sharp, so be smart when handling your knives. Also, this well turn steel colored after several uses. I use a magic eraser to clean mine. Update 1/2016: this is still working really well for maintaining my knives. Some steel from your knives will discolor the rod. You will want to wipe it down periodically as it works better without minute steel particles clogging up the ceramic rod. I use a magic eraser to clean it.

un prix imbattable pour un fusil céramique. Le résultat est top. Il ne faut pas être surpris de la teinte acier que prend la tige.
