Yes it does take a bit of extra buffing to get the last of the polish marks out but the bit of effort is well rewarded with a deep lustrous shine. My fine metal flake dark black paint is 6 years old and could do with cutting back to a smooth finish first to get a mirror deep shine. Having said that it did a good job. It can only be used in that way if you're doing just doing a quick wash where you can put a cap-full into your bucket of water and wash your car as normal.
