I'm so happy to have found this! I tried a few, but not many available with this filling string mechanism whereby you can fill it with more than one notebook insert, and the others I tried could not fit standard A5 notebooks in papers I prefer. The quality of this leather journal cover is gorgeous, it's very thick and soft and high quality. It's amazing value for money, especially as it comes with 3 notepad inserts supplied. I didn't want to write on blank paper, so I've just filled it with 3 x A5 Clairefontaine notebooks, which fit perfectly, and above all this is what I eonter a leather cover for. Couldn't find one the right size anywhere else. After I took the 3 supplied inserts out, I found it a bit tricky to work out how to get the 3rd of my books in. The first 2 were easy. Thankfully, they provide a really helpful product video, showing how you fill it, and I was able to work it out after watching that. I enclosed photos. It's absolutely perfect for my needs, and such beautiful quality. This is the 3rd brand I purchased, and the only one which is suitable and wasn't misdescribed for fitting actual A5. Many thanks to the seller for answering my pre-purchase query. I think this is the best leather notebook cover on the market.

Bought as a gift for my son when he went travelling. He loved it. I got a selection of plain and lined paper so that he could write, doodle and stick things in to create himself a fab keepsake of his travels. Great quality, very stylish design. Easy to add in notepaper and to remove. Great gift. Really pleased with it.

Beautiful book! My son loves it for college. Just about everything he needs stating it's handy for changing books & refills. Leather is good quality & well made throughout. Can get away with stressed look for several years I believe.

This is a very well made item. The leather is lovely in the outside and the paper quality really nice. I’ve knocked one star off because I wanted leather on both sides. This is definitely leather on the outside but then it has a cotton like coating on the inside. I emailed Wanderings and they said it was to keep it affordable. But I’d have paid more for a thicker leather in both sides.

I was so thrilled when this arrived - I’d been looking for a large travellers notebook to keep for life, and this is great quality and does the same job as the ones 4x the price. Can’t wait to see how it ages with use and fill it up. I also bought 3 ruled inserts as this comes with plain inserts. Paper quality is lovely. Very happy!

I am a travellers notebook addict, as I already own 3 Midori passport sized journals and one full size. This little journal is much better than any of my Midoris! The leather picks up marks naturally to give you an aged look, but some leather cream would make it look perfect if that is more your style. The leather cover lays perfectly flat when open with no clipping required, but the best bit for me is the dimensions of the cover. I haven’t measured with a ruler, but I have placed my blue Midori on top, and the wanderings journal is just slightly more generous in the width of the cover. This means that it will hold 3 inserts without annoying overhang at the side edge, like I get from all 3 of my passport Midoris. This may not be an issue for you, but I like to carry the Midori weekly diary and 2 notebooks- for things that need to be kept e.g collections- if you bullet journal, and one for daily notes. This little journal does that with some room to spare. I also have a Midori plastic zip wallet insert in mine, and a new edition of a moleskin pocket sticky notes book. The moleskin pocket size is a little larger than this journal and the Midori passport size, but at the back it doesn’t bother me poking out a few mm top and bottom. There is no way in the world a Midori could handle these contents- or at least non of my 3 can! This may not be something that would bother you, but for me it makes this little wanderings journal a little piece of heaven! I love the brass toggles on the elastics and the leather on the band makes the closure point more secure. It also allows the inserted notebooks to lay flat when opened alongside each other, another thing my Midoris with more than 2 inserts don’t. I would not hesitate to recommend this company and journal to anyone. It is very well priced and the quality is excellent. The little paper notebooks that it came with are also stitched rather than cheaply stapled and open well despite this small size- other books tend to try and flip closed again and require some pressure to hold open to write it. Don’t hesitate, buy one. You won’t regret it!

I've been looking for something to help me to organise myself according to 'projects'. Being a massive paper person, the move from filofax to outlook calendar was a nightmare for me a few years ago. To compensate, I've had A5 paper notebooks, hard-backed and once complete, got another one. This was fine for domestic stuff and work notes but I wanted to have a few smaller books that I could work on some of my life goals. I had a couple of the kraft paper books from Orla Kiely and wondered if there was some sort of binder to put them in. Have searched and, I have done a LOT of research, I found Wanderings range. Whilst I'm not a logo kind of person, the compass whether geographical or metaphorical resonated with me. The price was very good at £26.95 if the quality was good. Anyway, I ordered some kraft books as well as the binder and they arrived today. A pleasant shock, and surprise, was to find that the binder had 3 books already inside - they were £9.99 alone so why hesitate? £16.95 is an absolute steal. Smells good, looks good, and I'm sure will develop a great patina over time.

Great quality leather that feels nice to touch - smooth and soft. It's easy to swap out journal inserts if you want to. Mine arrived with a slight scratch on the cover and the closing elastic a bit loose feeling but otherwise a good journal of a good size.

I've used it for two weeks & really love the rustic look and feel of this TN. One thing i really like is that notebooks from Wanderings are saddle stiched, which is actually not easy to find elsewhere. This is going to be one of those TN I knew I'd adore for years. It comes with a lovely card and is well packaged.

I bought the A5 journal. The leather is gorgeous and soft. It comes with 3 A5 notebooks which is perfect for my needs. You can order refills once the notebooks are full. It also comes with a 365-day warranty. I added printable journal templates to complete the look. This journal is perfect. I love it! I highly recommend it.
