Lindt LINDOR Gift Box

We own a wedding venue with overnight accomodations. We love the freshness, the presentation and the taste. The only compliant is how expensive they are. We purchase these large boxes, but with 25 beds, they only last for 4 weddings. Wish there was 200 pack!

I bought my first Lindt Truffles from another supplier, at a higher price mind you, and fell in love with the incomparably mouthwatering chocolates. (Seems like there's always a "big but" in life.) BUT, that supplier didn't ship the chocolates in warmer months. Noooohh! I checked my favorite online source for most everything, Amazon, and found that they DO ship these Lindt truffles in JULY! With refrigerated ice packs! I am not experiencing withdrawal, thank you very much, Amazon. I am enjoying this decadent assortment of rich, solid AND creamy, melt in my mouth, ever so delicious and satisfying Lindt Chocolate Truffles even in these summertime heatwaves! AHHHH... If you keep your house at a cooler temperature, these should remain at their normal combination of solid AND creamy texture. If your home is warmer, pop these in the fridge and take out your choice to just let them rest for a few minutes. You'll know they're perfectly ready when your shirt begins to be slightly damp from drool.

Lindor has REALLY dropped the quality control on their truffles. I have been purchasing these for years for holiday gifts. I purchased the 100 count from QVC, and then I found I needed more so I purchased this 90 count package from Amazon. The quality of the product was the same. The arrived melted, out of round shape, 9 of them there completely out of their wrappers, disproportionate variety(only 7 of the dark, 10 of the double chocolate, and a huge amount of the pistachio and white chocolate). Several of the chocolate balls were white with the melted grease. They looked old, as if they were made five years ago and just sat on the shelf. The "gift box" they came in was grease-stained from so many of them having melted. The same quality issues were true for my other vendor purchase. SHAME ON YOU LINDOR. I am DONE buying this candy. LINDOR has really lowered their standards and quality and I refuse to buy anymore of this expensive product. They are NOT worth the money.

Before my husband went out and bought me some mediocre Valentine box of chocolates, I told him I wanted Lindoor Truffles, specifically pistachio filled. This 90 count box was on sale, and included pistachio, yes! My box of truffles arrived the same day I ordered them and was double boxed; a brown cardboard box marked with Lindoor labeling, inside was the gold box of truffles. I noticed right away that the tape on the gold box looked tampered with. It was lifted on one corner and the tape had folded onto itself. The outer box looked untampered with. But of course, this prompted me to count the truffles. Fifteen of each flavor, except the pistachio filled, there was one missing. Doesn't that just figure. So 89 truffles in total.

With a 90 count, there is no reason for someone not to share. There was chocolate, double chocolate, white chocolate, dark chocolate, pistachio chocolate, each individually wrapped. Melts in your mouth quite easily, especially with a cup of coffee.
