29 1/2 inches from bottom to top of lid when open.

Does this include the water valve?

No shut off valve is included. Threaded water connection on back of unit.

Can this be used to replace the aqua magic iv?

I believe I replaced my iv with this toilet about a month ago yes...But I recommend calling Thetford to confirm this. They were super helpful to me.
