It really just depends on how much ink you apply. If you are someone who's into doing a lot of blending then I'd say don't buy get something like Neenah or X-press these are better if you are someone who's wanting to really do blending with alcohol pens. One tip I give the girls I teach is always work directly onto a glass mat (or laminate a thin sheet of card) the shiny surface really helps with blending. I know you've more than likely been told just use cheap copier paper then when the ink comes through it won't matter. But wait! Cheap copier paper will draw down any ink you are using so not only will it make blending harder but you will also waste ink. Yet if you have a shiny surface behind your work the paper and ink have chance to blend so you reduce that muddy look and you get a better blend too. And if you don't believe me try it see for yourself. **Q: would this be okay to sketch on beforehand, and then go over the sketch with a fineliner?** A: Yeah. I do that on mine. But to be honest, this item is a rip off. Go on ebay and purchase 100 pieces of 200gsm A4 cards. They are cheaper and are of higher quality! **Q: Will this soak up alot of ink?** A: It doesn't suck all the ink, so it's super good to draw **Q: What gsm is this paper?** A: 250 gram is say on packet I use it for stamping printing digits and it works really well with my Copic pens.
