Thanks** A: Hi there, I think it would hold during a single trip if you taped both sides of the rip but I do not think this would be a long term solution as the tape is just not that durable but would work for a quick fix I suspect. Stronger tapes like the Gorilla Tape would be a more durable solution (although i think it only comes in black) although I suspect the best option would be a tent/ groundsheet patch kit that comes with most tents these days but if you haven't got one then most camping stores should be able to help you out with one.
