This is very simple to use
This is very simple to use. But then there was no explanation as to how good or bad that color was. How much heavy mental according to the grid? I wish there was more information as it is worthless not knowing reason for color. That's why I have given it a three star.

Total Heavy Metals - semi-quantitative test strips
These test strips are very useful and sensitive for a quick test of water quality in the field. It has to be understood that they are not specific for any one metal, they respond to any or all of the list of metals stated by the manufacturer on the box. I made up test solutions of copper ions from 50 to 1000 ppb (ug/L) and the main colour changes occurred from 100 ppb, saturating at 1000 ppb. I'm not good on comparing subtle shades and could not decide if a colour change had happened below 100 ppb, hence my 4-star rating. With distilled water no colour change was apparent. For drinking water, any colour change however slight would suggest you have the water tested by a laboratory before drinking it. The manufacturer has a range of specific test strips for many elements and anions, I can strongly recommend them.

I bought this product as I was not sure about apples I picked up from a tree in the field that was previously used as waste ground. I was concerned about contamination from heavy metals in the ground. I extracted small amount of apple juice and followed the instructions from the bottle, the apples did not contain any traces of metals but just in case the the product did not work properly I conducted an experiment. I sanded down small amount of lead from a soldering wire and mixed it with small amount of water I placed the test pad in the water and after couple of minutes the test pad turned dark red which confirmed that the product is able to detect traces of heavy metals.

no specification on the actual metals Found it useless Wouldn't recommend
You can't really understand the colour chart , since the result can fit all, no specification on the actual metals Found it useless Wouldn't recommend

False positive, flagged an issue then a full lab test says water is clear.
