Charges phone first before the case. When I put it on it really was quite tight to push it in there, water got on it and it eventually broke after 6months but to take it off I literally have to use a knife and break it to pieces. Sadly, when the iphone/case slipped out of my hand at ‘knee’ level and despite have a screen protector, the screen on my iphone cracked. The reason for the cracked screen, aside for obviously dropping to the floor, seems to be due to having the impact on the upper corner of the case, which dislocated the poorly positioned latch that covers the iphone after installing it inside the case.
