Hycote Fast Drying Aerosol Car Spray Paint, Aluminium Coat, 400 ml

Good quality finnish, very good product. Easy to apply but time consuming with the wait between coats. To all the people saying its rubbish, put the can down and please never touch a spray can again. For good aplication, clean your lights well! Degrease and dry them off, do one VERY LIGHT coat, give that 10 minutes to tack up, continue applying extremely light coats once every 10-20 minutes untill it is slightly lighter than how you want it, leave for 24 hours to cure. After that, if you still want it darker, add another light coat, give it an hour or so and repete. If you feel like you've messed up, its easy to remove in a matter of minutes then try again. Excelent product, great coverage. More than enough for one car! I've done front, rear and foglights completely black AND the three rear windows to almost limo black, with aprox 1/4 a can left. Please note: the car that was done to is a trailer queen and will never touch a public road with lights tinted that dark.

This is my second purchase of this product, it’s that good! I’ve used alternative tinting spray but this is the best one I’ve found. Sprays smoothly and provides even coverage. Dries quickly and 4 or 5 coats give a really dark tint that still allows the light from the bulbs to be seen. Good size can means that there’s plenty of paint for multiple coats of several lamp fittings

I bought this (£5.99 at the time) after I replaced a rear light. To get a good gloss coat you need to spray quite a bit at a time but only after doing a few light coats.

Having used VHT, this spray is OK but I recommend to spend a little more and buy VHT. This one is not bad, but the finish doesn't look like chrome, it's more like gloss silver. Nevertheless, it works fine and the paint has a good quality.

Decided to get some of this to smoke my fiesta st 150 lights. it said on the tine "do not use on road cars..only for show cars" but i assume they have to put that on because of people who use a full 400ml tin on one side indicator so its blacker that a priests socks!! i sprayed a few light coats on one tail light and didnt notice much of a difference so i put a few more on and compared it to the original and looked scuttle put good! so they look pretty cool and my friend wanted his doing and said he wanted them black so i put about 6/7 coats on and they are near enough black but the light still shines through and has had no trouble from the police so i would highly recommend!

The coverage you get with Hycote is unmatched. The slightest twitch of the nozzle and its done. I adore Hycote. Please Sponsor me haha

Increíble producto, oscurece y da brillo con el mismo spray. He probado otros productos diferentes que oscurecen pero es negro mate sucio.

Ho acquistato questa vernice Hycote per oscurare leggermente i fanali posteriori e dare un look più aggressivo all’auto. Il risultato estetico è davvero bello se applicata bene. PRO: Effetto fumé uniforme e molto realistico Facile da applicare anche per chi non è esperto Ottima copertura con più passate leggere Asciuga abbastanza velocemente CONTRO: Serve molta attenzione: se esageri diventa troppo scuro Può ridurre la luminosità dei fanali Non adatta a uso stradale legale (solo estetica/show) Durante l’applicazione ho fatto più passate leggere come consigliato, e il risultato è stato decisamente migliore rispetto a una mano pesante. Il controllo del livello di oscuramento è il punto forte, ma anche il rischio principale. Una cosa importante: già con poche passate si nota una riduzione della luce, quindi bisogna trovare il giusto compromesso tra estetica e funzionalità. Nel complesso è un prodotto valido per chi vuole personalizzare l’auto, ma va usato con criterio. Aggiornerò la recensione nel tempo per vedere come regge a sole e lavaggi. Qualche graffio di sassolini o botte può rimuovere facilmente il nero dalla plastica.
