It's plenty good enough to gig with even though it was really bought for home recording - if you need a stand don't hesitate, get this one, although when I bought it, it was apparently on sale, so a bargain at around £25.Only slight drawback is you might need to get a clamp for your mic, although the screwthread fitted the condenser mic perfectly which was what I needed, so I'm happy. It arrived 2 days earlier than expected so that was a good start. Having put the stand together it does seem quite sturdy and I've had a microphone attached to the extended boom arm for a few hours now and it hasn't moved. Also good! In the photos you will see a round cup shaped thing that was in the box. I thought maybe it was for placing the bottom of the main stand in to prevent it damaging the floor but it doesn't fit that and I can't find anywhere else to put it. I should be grateful if anyone has any thoughts.
