While the heat borders on painful, it still has a very nice tomato flavour and the whole experience is very much enjoyable. The sauce itself has a sweet base behind a wall of fierce, lip melting heat. Even from a single drop, the burn is relentless, completely overpowering your senses for a good 10-15 minutes, gradually calming over the course of 30 minutes. I like it A LOT, I'll be adding a splash of this stuff to my next curry for sure!!! My fiancée on the other hand was not convinced. She's not a fan of very hot sauces, in fact she's not a big lover of hot food in general, but tried it out of curiosity after taste testing among others, a half spoonful of Encona's Carolina Reaper sauce a few days before I got this. While she found the reaper sauce painfully hot, she must have enjoyed it as she tried a full spoon the following day to see if she could handle it!! With Mega Death sauce however, she was in so much pain that she couldn't even taste the tomato flavour at all and couldn't tear her thoughts away from the fire in her mouth.
