Exactly what it says it is.
I put this in my 4GB slim and after it formatted it it was 293GB.... Which is normal and I knew anyway. Any size hard drive you get will always actually be less after it has been formatted by the Xbox and partitioned in order for it to work. But that is still PLENTY of storage to play with and a good price for only £40 Like another reviewer mentioned... The Xbox even recognises it as a Microsoft official hard drive. I haven't tried playing any original Xbox games on it yet. A friend has an unofficial 250gb hard drive and it doesn't let original games to be played because the Xbox doesn't recognise it as an official Microsoft drive. So I will be trying to see if this will allow original xbox games to be played.... And if it does, bonus! Transferring my content over was no problem and overall works like a charm. Highly recommend this product!

Perfect, would recommend.
This product was perfect and just what I needed. My son had been complaining for a while that his Xbox 360 would not play some games as there was a requirement for an internal storage device. The official Microsoft one was, in my opinion, too expensive for what is simply a hard disk. Having searched Amazon I came across this and thought for such a cheap amount i'd be stupid not to take a risk. It arrived promptly and in a nice box and was accompanied with very simple instruction on where to locate the expansion slot on your 360. It slotted in nicely and was instantly recognised by the console. After a quick format the games, not playable before, were installing and he moved all the saved games to the new disk from a USB stick. Overall 10/10 and I would recommend anyone looking for a reliable cheap upgrade.

Xbox 360 HDD 320Gb spot on
I was dubious about buying a non Microsoft hard disk drive to expand my 4Gb internal drive. Well, I am not disappointed. I understand being a techie that I would not get 320Gb. Inserting the drive took 10 seconds and then I turned the power on. The Xbox installed the disk stealthily and I had 293Gb to use. I copied my profile and moved games saves and and avatars etc and put them on the new drive. I then installed a game onto the hard drive. I have to report that everything is working as expected. Please understand that even though you copy a game from a disk to the hard drive, you will still need the game disk, as it prevents piracy. Delivery was in less than 48 hours too.

Good Hard Drive but with one flaw
Good little hard drive easy to setup and install and works well one big issue though if you get this you wont be able to play orginal Xbox games on it as it doesnt have the partion on the hard drive that allows orginal xbox games to be played but if you want it only for 360 games you are all good and is a nice hard drive to get but if you want everything then you are better off buying an offical xbox hard drive that way you will get everything.

Does what it says on the page
The hard drive arrived at 08:08 this morning, less than 16 hours after I ordered it. After removal of the packaging, I easily inserted it, switched the xbox on and away it went. Yes it's a 320 GB drive and once the xbox formats it and pops the system files on it drops to 293'ish GB which is quite normal and I now have loads of storage to play with. The hard drive is as described by the seller and as it is unbranded (i.e. doesn't say Microsoft on it)this is the reason why it is so reasonably priced. Don't let this put you off buying it as 99.9% of the time it will contain the same internals, it might even come from the same factory! Bottom line, I would happily buy with confidence from them again.

Good news is that it DOES seem to work ~ ...
Bought this for my son's birthday to try and solve an issue with one of his games. Decided to try it out BEFORE his birthday to ensure it was going to work. Good news is that it DOES seem to work ~ bad news is that it is now jammed in the machine and will NOT come back out despite me pulling the tag, giving it a wiggle and everything else suggested onlnie!! :( So now his birthday pressie is going to be early and I can only hope that it continues to work.....not the best design!

320Gb hard disk with 296Gb of usable space
The 320Gb Xbox hard disk was an upgrade for the bairns 4Gb Xbox. It arrived in about a week, (it came from Singapore), which was over a week BEFORE it was supposed to, so that was good. It came in a bit of bubblewrap in a small cardboard box, which says it was made in China. There was no instructions on how to install it, but that really isn't a problem. I found a youtube video online, of how to install the disk, and followed that. Just remember to remove the game disk first, and turn off the console too. There is a small door on the right hand side, once opened shows the slot, then it was easy to simply slip the hard disk in, with the small "rocker switch" to the top, and with the cloth tab to the outside, and close the door. (if you pull the cloth tab, the "rocker switch" flips to allow the hard disk to be pulled out of the Xbox - so don't do that) Turn the Xbox on, and go into the system menu, and I found a 296Gb hard disk which identifies itself as a Microsoft one. I copied all the files to it, from the 4Gb internal drive and a 16Gb USB drive, and it's worked like a dream since, with no problems. If you have a 4Gb Xbox, don't hesitate to get this 320Gb disk! (296Gb usable)

I didn't see a problem
I think this is great for 4gb XBOX 360 slims and for the 250gb XBOX 360 slims you will have to take out your old hard drive which could cause numbers of problems. But for my 4gb XBOX 360 slim I just opened the the side (the side where my XBOX is) and just clipped it in easy and you struggle finding where the hatch is look at a tutorial on YouTube because that's where I went. If you have the 4gb there will be nothing in the space (when you have opened the hard drive unit) there is be a place to put it. When i put it in I went straight on my XBOX to see it had taken away 20gb out of my 320gb hard drive I didn't really care and I still don't care even at the slittiest. It was just easier than I expected I thought it will ask me questions (Eg do you want to delete... or do you want to install...) but it didn't. You do not need the transfer cable for the 4gb XBOX 360 slim
