Fixed my broken cable
The raccoons kept hanging onto and breaking the solar charging cable on my Netvue camera bird feeder. I was able to repair the cable using these vs having to buy a complete cable/ solar panel assembly .

Perfect for my home project
I have an Ubiquity G3 Instant security camera, and it connects via WiFi, but it still needs power. I put together a Lithium battery with BMS and solar panel for recharging. This then put out the 5.2 volts that my camera was looking for. That is where this cable came in handy. It was a simple USB-C cable that only had two wires for power. This worked perfectly as I was able to solder it to my homemade battery and have it work.

If you work with usb power supplies/systems, you want these in your parts box!
Great for powering devices from/to existing usb power ports. The wires are color coded, red and black, and are large enough to carry 3A. I use them on a 12V system, so I can get about 30W of power, if I need it.

Do not provide 5v on any of the cables I received.
Why did you pick this product vs others?: Pretty easy review - they do not provide 5v. One was 2.x volts and the other was less than 1 volt. No idea what you are supposed to do to fix them but I switched to a USB-A brand and it worked perfectly.

Good to power my pi
Needed to power my raspberry pi for klipper on my Ender 3 and instead of using the GIPO pins, I just used this cable with a switch at the end to wire all in my printer. Does what I needed and no complaints

These don't supply power to the bare ends
I'm trying to power some 5v LED fairly lights and I thought these would be perfect using 5v power brick for phones but they don't supply any power. I tried little bricks that do PD, nothing. I also used a USBA adapter with an old dumb Apple brick and still nothing. These things are straight up trash.

I purchased a few packs of these 2‑pin, 22AWG USB‑C bare wire cables for a project that required extending a Type‑C charging port. The cables are well-constructed, fit snugly into the USB‑C receptacle, and the 22AWG wires are definitely thick enough to handle up to 3 A from a purely electrical standpoint. However, keep in mind that these only have two conductors: VBUS (5 V) and Ground. They lack the Configuration Channel (CC) lines that a standard USB‑C device would use to negotiate higher current or voltage. In a typical USB environment, that means you’re likely limited to around 500–900 mA (USB 2.0 levels). If your project or device requires fast charging or USB Power Delivery, you’ll need a cable with at least four conductors (VBUS, GND, and two CC lines) or more to support data and higher power negotiation. These cables work great for simple 5 V charging or powering low‑draw devices. The “3 A” rating in the product description reflects the wire gauge capacity rather than a guarantee of 3 A in a standard USB‑C handshake. If you need actual high-current or fast-charge support, look for a USB‑C cable that includes the necessary CC and data lines.
