There's no mistaking the higher quality of this Park Tool's multi-tool. Solid in the hand, beautifully engineered, and containing a range of useful tools (with barely any waste of space filler), this is the perfect bit of kit to throw in the commuter bag or tuck into your saddlebag. What can't really be argued with though, is that you can pick up very similar for much less. A certain big name bike retailer even throws in something similar with every bike - and whilst a direct comparison demonstrates just how much better quality the Park Tool's offering is, ultimately this is a set of hex keys plus extras. This is the Apple iPad of Hex multi-tools, compared to the no-name Android tablet's available from others. Only you know if that difference matters to you.

I have had this on my wish list for some time. You can buy cheaper but this is a great design and fantastic quality. It has a very tactile feel and it is easy to select the individual element you require. I have not used it yet but I have every confidence it will be a great addition to my tool kit. I like the addition of the 8mm hex which sits on the 6mm hex. Simply slip the 8mm off to use the 6mm hex key - it took me a short while to realise this!

Very well made piece of kit.

I love bits of practical engineering like this -- designed to reach in where other multitools can't, simple, lightweight yet very strong - almost negates the need for workshop tools. Has all the essential bits, (I looked at dozens of new tools available before choosing this one) personally I carry the park tools mini chain splitter as a separate tool (it is SOOOO much easier to use than the tools built into multitools especially in the dark with gloves on!!) so this is the perfect compliment - just the right stuff. I ride tubs so I don't want unnecessary tyre levers either. I am a 5000+ miles a year cyclist, commuting in all conditions as well as big club and solo rides, so I do actually get to use these tools! Buy one you won't be disappointed.

Quality pocket size tool.

I really like this product. It has a great, sturdy feel to it and appears to have the allen keys that your average Joe might need if out on their road bike (as is the case with me). It's a great size too! This has fitted very nicely into my saddle pouch and still left me room after the inner tube, the tyre levers, an inhaler, some tyre patches, my High5 and whatever else I can cram in there. An essential to get you out of a fix I'd say.

Wer viel mit dem Fahrrad unterwegs ist, weiß, dass ein zuverlässiges Multitool im Gepäck absolute Pflicht ist. Nach einigen Enttäuschungen mit billigen, weichen Werkzeugen habe ich mir das Park Tool IB-2 (I-Beam) geholt. Park Tool ist in der Fahrradwelt einfach eine Ansage, und das merkt man auch bei diesem Mini-Faltwerkzeug an jeder Ecke. Das I-Beam-Konzept & Stabilität: Das Besondere an dem Tool ist der patentierte I-Beam-Rahmen aus Aluminium. Das Teil ist dadurch nicht nur extrem leicht, sondern verdammt verwindungssteif. Wenn man mal etwas mehr Kraft aufwenden muss, biegt oder verzieht sich hier absolut gar nichts. Es liegt trotz der kompakten Maße überraschend gut und sicher in der Hand. Werkzeug-Auswahl & Qualität: Das IB-2 hat genau die Werkzeuge an Bord, die man für die schnellen Reparaturen oder Einstellungen unterwegs wirklich braucht: Innensechskant (Inbus): 1,5 / 2 / 2,5 / 3 / 4 / 5 / 6 / 8 mm Torx: T25 (essenziell für moderne Bremsscheiben und Komponenten) Schlitzschraubendreher Die Werkzeuge selbst sind aus gehärtetem Werkzeugstahl und extrem präzise gefertigt. Da nudelt keine Schraube aus, und das Material zeigt auch nach häufigerem Einsatz keinerlei Abnutzung. Kompaktheit für unterwegs: Das Tool ist so kompakt und flach gebaut, dass es wirklich in jede noch so kleine Satteltasche oder einfach in die Trikottasche passt. Es klappert nichts und fliegt nicht auseinander. Fazit: Kein unnötiger Schnickschnack, sondern pure, zuverlässige Qualität für den Trail oder die Straße. Wer ein Werkzeug sucht, auf das er sich im Pannenfall im Nirgendwo zu 100 % verlassen kann, macht mit dem Park Tool IB-2 alles richtig. Unverwüstlich und verdiente 5 Sterne!
