Yes, assuming you are straight legs, balancing on your heels, core engaged, shoulders packed, then you will be fine. I've got long arms, I don't touch the ground. On your first question, there is nothing under the feet. I tried them briefly on laminate and realised it was not a good idea - too slippy. As suggested, a yoga mat, or some similar non-slip material, would be a good idea. It's painted metal basically so it MIGHT scratch

This is very awkward, they should include tools, as yes, you need an adjustable spanner on one side, but the other side is a LARGE allen key type, which is strange... just use nut/bolt...why allen key??
