Microsoft Surface Pro 9 (2022), 13" 2-in-1 Tablet & Laptop, Thin & Lightweight, Intel 12th Gen i7 Fast Processor for Multi-Tasking, 16GB RAM, 256GB Storage with Windows 11, Sapphire Microsoft Copilot

My wife had a Surface Pro 3 from 2014 which was still working well, but could not be upgraded any more and will not be supported much longer. I bought this Surface Pro 9 as a gift, and it is solid, fast, and great to use. Configuration is Core i7 256gb SSD 16gb RAM. This much RAM is the sweet spot using Windows 11, and this computer is MUCH faster than her old surface. I did not buy the pen because she never used it with her old computer, but I did buy the Signature keyboard (bought from Microsoft since Amazon didn't have it in the matching color) because it definitely is solid and types well. But those who really type strongly might prefer to use a Bluetooth keyboard and mouse from Logitech like the MK270, which is excellent. The USB-C / Thunderbolt connection works excellent for a hub in order to connect to ethernet and an extra monitor, although I don't care for the high location on the side of the computer - if you want to use the Surface standing up with a second monitor, a right-angle cable helps, search on Amazon for "Thunderbolt Cable Right Angle." I tested using my Thunderbolt hub, and the video is fast and solid looking. But my wife uses it just as a tablet and table top computer, so she doesn't need the extra connections.

For a slim laptop running a real OS, the Surface is as close to perfection as one can get. It’s lightweight but not flimsy. The keyboard and touchpad are responsive and feel good to the touch. The screen is gorgeous. The processor is fast, wifi is blazing fast, and the webcam is crystal clear. The only downside, perhaps, is the price — my company bought this for me — otherwise the $2k price tag for the surface + keyboard would have put me off. If you’re using it for work, you really need the keyboard, the machine isn’t really useable for word processing without it. It’s the best laptop I’ve had in a long time. I was a hard-core Apple fan until 2017 when I bought a MacAir with a defective keyboard. I think the combination of having real Windows plus the gorgeous lightweight but robust hardware makes the Surface far better than anything offered by Apple at the moment.

This is my 2nd Microsoft Surface Pro, and I couldn’t be happier with my choice. The Intel 12th Gen i7 processor and 16GB RAM make multitasking a breeze, whether I’m working from home or on the go. I use it every day, and it handles everything from business tasks to personal browsing effortlessly. At home, it pairs perfectly with my monitor for a desktop-like experience, and when I travel, the thin and lightweight design makes it incredibly portable. The 256GB storage is plenty for all my needs. If you’re looking for a versatile, high-performance device for both work and travel, this is it!

Reviews on this thing are all over the place. After several weeks of review and 2+decades of nothing but Dell, I really wanted to take the 2in1 leap and settled on the Surface Pro 9. I have been extraordinarily pleased. I've used it for work, entertainment, meetings (note taking), presentations, and more, all in the course of about 6 hours. I have had some quirks (taskbar icons disappearing, having the screen go black and not waking, keyboard not connecting properly the first time (or 2), but nothing deal breaking or game changing. Contrary to some reviews, I really (REALLY) like the keyboard folio. So just one example of how one person's peeve can be another person's pleasure. If you're looking at this device, try to get your hands on one and use it for a few minutes before deciding. Kind of anathema to Amazon's model, but if you're gonna spend $1k+, do yourself a favor and see it in person. You'll thank me. At any rate, for me, I am very pleased with this device and purchase, and recommend it to others. YMMV.

Surface Pro never disappoints. 4 stars is because I thought it came with a keyboard. It does not.

Pro Product is new and sealed. After reading some reviews, I was not sure to order or not. Many negative reviews said that product and packaging issues. In My case product is perfect , sealed and new. I am satisfied with the delivery also. I am using the product for 4/5 days. Overall is ok. Must say seller is good and can be recommended. Cons A bit of heating issue. Battery is ok (normal browsing and taking notes) Charging socket not compatible to my region. Amazon box might be little better quality for overseas shipping. More Pro s and Cons after few months ...

Es una maravilla poder tener la opción de usarla como laptop para trabajar documentos, programar etc. Absolutamente todo lo que una laptop normal es capas de hacer. Pero con el fabuloso añadido de poder usarla como una tablet para tomar notas. Es mi mejor herramienta en la universidad, un todo en uno. Además, si uno es mañoso, le puede poner Playstore, y tener todo el catálogo de aplicaciones android para usarla como si fuese una tablet android. 100% recomendada. Lo único que podría querer rescatar es la pantalla, que no es muy brillante y en ambientes con mucha luz es difícil poder usarla. Además de que refleja bastante.

First and foremost it has USB C.... what a life saver!! it's the same old surface design but made better! The keyboard attachment can house the pen and can charge it which is an awesome design update. The Screen is Just amazing, love the colors, love the resolution and i love the refresh rate, my previous surfaces have been I5 machines with 8gb or RAM, though these always ended up feeling quite tedious to use a year or 2 after their release. I am hoping the I7 + 16GB makes a difference. I upgraded the SSD to 2 TB soon after i got it and it's plenty, the upgrade itself was a breeze. Again have 2 USB C ports is just a godsent. I love this device.

Tablet/laptop works great. I needed something lightweight and powerful for when I travel a few months each year and the Surface Pro 9 is exactly what I needed. Added a Microsoft keyboard and it’s now my day to day laptop.

The display is brilliant but the battery life needs to improve

As a professional online math tutor, all I want is a computer than can rival my Surface Pro 4 for writing on, but this Surface Pro 9 sucks really badly. Maybe it would be better with the $200 Slim Pen? I am not paying Microsoft's inflated prices though, as they don't even supply a charger with it, so this will have to go back for a refund. I am so disappointed with this purchase, as i thought it would be brilliant! My Surface Pro 4 has a faulty battery that is about to explode - but even though it is 5 years old it still is a better writing experience than this Surface Pro 9.
