It usually depends on what power rating (in Watts) your amp is, if the power rating is under 2000W then this kit will be fine but if it goes above 2000W then you would need heavier duty cable. This kit is also 4AWG, which is about 5mm. 16mm cable is huge, I’m fairly certain you won’t need 16mm cable.

Ia 5m suitable for a longer 8 seater car?

It would depend on the position of the car battery and where you want to position the amplifier in the vehicle. For example in a people carrier a perfect position for an amplifier would be under the front seats. Another Example would be if the battery was located in the boot/trunk, the amplifier might also be in the boot/trunk. 5m is pretty much the industry standard for a retail amp kit. If you need longer then you need to consider buying cable on a roll. Best to reconsider your amplifier mounting position?
